In use, a standard solution and the chromium detection polymer film undergo a reaction so that standard color gradation is obtained; and after a reaction of a solution needing to be detected and the chromium detection polymer film, a color is compared with the standard color gradation so that a detection result is obtained. The chromium detection polymer film has high detection precision and good repeatability, can be operated easily, realizes fast on-site detection of chromium ions in an environmental water sample, avoids use of a traditional large-scale instrument in chromium detection, and has a low cost and a good application prospect.
