The invention discloses meta-
aramid fibrid and a preparation method thereof, the meta-
aramid fibrid comprises, by
dry weight, 90.0-99.5 wt% of meta-
aramid resin and 0.5-10.0 wt% of an amphiphilic block
copolymer additive, and the additive comprises at least one of p-N-methyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone or N, N-dimethyl pyrrolidone. A first block having an affinity for N, N-
dimethylacetamide; and at least one second block having an affinity for water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding an additive into a meta-aramid resin
polymerization liquid to form a composite resin
polymerization liquid; injecting the composite liquid into a
precipitation bath composed of N-methyl pyrrolidone or N, N-
dimethylacetamide and water through a dispersing device, and after
precipitation, carrying out
solid-liquid separation, washing and
drying to obtain the fibrid. Through the synergistic effect of a specific additive and a
precipitation bath
system, the
microstructure of the fibers is actively regulated and controlled, and the specific surface area and the
surface roughness of the fibers are improved, so that the tensile strength and the
internal bonding strength of finished paper are remarkably enhanced, and meanwhile, the inherent high-temperature-resistant,
flame-retardant and insulating properties of meta-aramid fibers are kept.
