The inventive system can take power from a suitable source—including the three-phase distribution itself—and feed it to a “weaker” phase to improve balance. In addition, the system can store energy taken from the three-phase power system during off-peak periods and use this to boost a weaker phase during periods of phase imbalance. The inventive system preferably uses an organic Rankine cycle heat engine to extract stored thermal energy and use it to boost a weak phase or phases. The organic Rankine cycle heat engine may also take power from renewable sources such as solar collectors.

A three-phase load balancing system for distribution network main and branch lines

The invention discloses a three-phase load balancing system of main and branch lines of a distribution network. The system is composed of a main controller and a plurality of branch controllers. The main controller determines a phase adjustment pair and a main adjustment value based on an unbalanced load situation of a main line and selects and adjusts branch lines among all branch lines based onthe phase adjustment pair. All branch controllers mark commutation devices that do not provide power for load devices with built-in magnetic motion parts at the source phases of the adjusted branch lines, needed commutation devices are selected among the marked commutation devices, and then if the marked commutation devices are not sufficient, commutation devices are selected from unmarked commutation devices; and the sum of power loads of the selected commutation device of all adjusted branch lines is equal to the main adjustment value, access phases of the selected commutation devices are controlled to be switched to be target phases, so that loads of the main lines and the branch lines meet a balancing requirement. Therefore, a phenomenon that the load device with the built-in magneticmotion part of the user terminal makes commutation vibration and thus noises are caused is avoided and the system works stably.

Marine three-phase-into-two-phase balancing transformer

The invention relates to a marine three-phase-into-two-phase balancing transformer. The balancing transformer comprises an iron core, a primary side winding and a secondary side winding, wherein the iron core adopts a three-phase columnar shape or a three-phase shell shape; the primary side winding is connected in a triangular manner, consists of three-phase windings AX, BY, and CZ, and the number of turns of the windings is W1; the secondary side winding comprises two parts; the first part comprises A-phase and C-phase windings with the number of turns of W2; the A-phase and C-phase windings are connected in series; the second part comprises a B-phase winding with the number of turns of W3; the relationship of the number of turns of the secondary side winding is as follows: a formula is as shown in the specification. The technological advancement of less number of windings, simple structure of the transformer, and relatively high material utilization ratio is realized; complex impedance matching is not required; and the transformer is easy to produce and manufacture.
