The invention described relates to a composition for a multilayer tube having an inner and an outer layer. Preferably the inner layer of the tube has at least one at least partially crosslinked, preferably polyethylene, which is less flexible than the adjacent more flexible outer layer, which is preferably a thermoplastic elastomer. The inner and outer layers are typically coextruded during manufacture, with at least one overmolded end, preferably crosslinked, which generally has an internal diameter which is essentially the same as the internal diameter of the multilayer tube. The multilayer tube is typically crosslinked, preferably by electron beam.

A system and method for providing interleaving point-of-load (POL) regulators such that each regulator's switching cycle is phase displaced with respect to those of other POL regulators in the array is disclosed. As a result, the aggregate input and/or output reflected ripple and noise of the input, output, or both is reduced. Each regulator in the array is associated with an unique address. A serial data-line writes the phase spacing programmed to each addressable POL regulator in the array. The present invention permits phase displacement of POL regulators without limitation to the input and output voltages of each of the regulators in the array. The array of POL regulators may also operate in a phase displaced mode with only a single control line. The need for separate controllers and multiple control lines is thereby eliminated.

A subclassing mechanism for use in developing graphical block diagram models is described. A graphical class instance of a library graphical class that corresponds to a graphical subsystem block of one or more interconnected graphical blocks is constructed for use in a graphical block diagram model of a user. An interface for enabling changes to parameter values of at least one of the graphical blocks to be made by and accepted from the user is provided. The changes are applied to the graphical class instance to produce a graphical class instance that inherits structure from the library graphical class.

To improve the efficiency of delayed transactions in bus-to-bus bridge systems which include at least one interface to a PCI bus, a bridge system is disclosed including at least a primary interface and an interface to a secondary subsystem for interconnecting a primary PCI bus system and the secondary subsystem. The system comprises a delayed transaction mechanism for enabling a transaction source attached to the primary PCI bus system to effect delayed transactions with a target in the secondary subsystem. This system has a programmable delay transaction timer which provides a degree of flexibility in the configuration of PCI systems. This flexibility can be exploited to provide considerable efficiency gains, albeit at the expense of some deviation of the strict requirements of the PCI Specification.

A multi-function interface adaptor comprises a base layer and flexible fingers extending from it. A marker device for increased road safety due to a flexible design is provided. The marker device includes a base with an opening and a flexible means that is positioned over the base. The flexible means has a fast impulse response to direct (contact) and indirect (no-contact) perturbations with one or more parts of the flexible means capable of deflecting up to about 180 degrees from their original position. In one example the deflection ranges from about 15 degrees to about 180 degrees. A gutter member including a channel portion adapted to receive and carry away water flowing from the roof structure; and a cover portion extending above and at least partially covers the channel portion. The cover portion is adapted to support sliding travel of solid or semi-solid material, such as snow and ice, from the roof structure over the channel portion. Preferably, the cover portion extends inwardly from an outer side of the channel portion to at least partially cover it. The cover portion presents an upper bearing surface that extends across more than half and the entire lateral width of the channel portion to act as a bridge for the solid and semi-solid material. A universal mountable and demountable rack-and-pinion structure for a stack mold includes mounting plates affixed to the mold parts and rack-and-pinion mounting elements which are mountable to and demountable from the mounting plates. This arrangement permits the rack and pinion elements first to be mounted in an approximately correct position for the appropriate proportionation of movement within a molding machine. The device includes an adjustment feature which permits the relative distances between the mold parts to be finely adjusted to ensure correct proportionation of movement. A use of a core block for an impregnation process as well as a composite structure comprising such a core block is described. The core block has a first surface and a second surface, and a number of first grooves is formed in the first surface of the core. Furthermore, a number of second grooves is formed in the second surface of the core. The first grooves have a first height (h1) and a bottom, and the first grooves and the second grooves are part of a resin distribution network formed in the core block. The distance (t) between the bottom of the first grooves and the second surface of the core block is of such a size that the core block is flexible along the first grooves. Additionally, the sum of the first height and the second height is larger than the thickness of the core block, and at least one of the first grooves in the first surface of the core block crosses at least one of the second grooves in the second surface of the core block.

A vehicle shield device includes a hood protector region and hood attachment region. The hood protector region is constructed for extending across at least a portion of a vehicle hood for protecting the vehicle hood. The hood protector region includes at least one flexible region for allowing folding of the hood protector region to provide the vehicle shield device in a folded configuration that is shorter than the full length of the vehicle shield device as it would be provided when mounted to a vehicle hood so that the vehicle shield device can be packaged and shipped in the folded configuration. The hood protector region and the hood attachment region can be provided from a molded and continuous plastic sheet.
