An object of the present invention is to provide zirconium oxide nanoparticles that have excellent dispersibility in a polar solvent and are capable of increasing a core concentration in a dispersion liquid. • 1) placing 47.5 g of water at 20° C. in a 100 mL glass beaker, adding 2.5 g of the sodium stearoyl lactylate preparation at the same temperature thereto, and stirring the content at the same temperature at 500 rpm for 60 seconds using a three-one motor to prepare a mixed liquid;
• 2) pouring the mixed liquid in 1) into a stainless steel strainer with a pore size of 250 μm and collecting the residue remaining in the strainer; and
• 3) placing the residue in 2) on a glass petri dish, hot-air drying the residue at 105° C. for 2 hours, and measuring the weight (g) of the dry matter (dried residue) remaining on the glass petri dish for evaluation of the dispersibility.

A metal-resin composite that has a structure in which a plurality of metal particles are fixed to resin particles and, in the range of pH 3 to pH 10, the maximum value of the zeta potential is at least 5 mV and the minimum value is −5 mV or less. A carbon black aqueous pigment which exhibits excellent water-dispersibility and ink performance, and a method of producing a carbon black aqueous dispersion are disclosed. The carbon black aqueous pigment includes carbon black A having a specific surface area by nitrogen adsorption of 150 m²/g or more, a DBP absorption of 95 cm³/100 g or more, and a tinting strength of 120% or more, and carbon black B having a specific surface area by nitrogen adsorption of less than 150 m²/g, a DBP absorption of less than 95 cm³/100 g, and a tinting strength of 120% or more, the carbon black A and the carbon black B being subjected to surface oxidation and neutralization, at least the carbon black A being atomized, and the carbon black A and the carbon black B being mixed in a weight ratio of 20:80 to 80:20. The method includes oxidizing the carbon black A and the carbon black B individually in an oxidizing agent aqueous solution, followed by neutralization, atomizing at least the carbon black A, purifying the carbon black A and the carbon black B, mixing the carbon black A and the carbon black B in a weight ratio of 20:80 to 80:20, and dispersing the mixture in an aqueous medium.
