The invention belongs to the technical field of wheat breeding, and discloses a method for creating
triticale new
germplasm resources based on a distant hybridization technology. The method comprises the steps that Polish wheat and
common wheat are selected to hybridize to obtain a
first generation F1 sterile line; the
first generation F1 sterile line is hybridized with the
common wheat to obtain a second generation F1 sterile line; the second generation F1 sterile line is hybridized with the
common wheat to obtain a
third generation F1 sterile line; the second generation F1 sterile line is hybridized with hard-grained wheat to obtain a
third generation F1 sterile line; and the
third generation F1 sterile line is hybridized with
triticale, the fourth generation F1 sterile line is divided into
fertility and
sterility, the next generation of seeds is harvested in a
mixed mode, the F2 generation has a sterile line and further has a fertile
triticale selective line, and new
germplasm resources are bred through
system breeding of the fertile line of the triticale. According to the method for creating the triticale new
germplasm resources based on the distant hybridization technology, favorable genes of wheat
sibling species and wheat materials with different genetic backgrounds are successfully polymerized to the new triticale germplasm through distant hybridization, so that the comprehensive resistance and adaptability of triticale are improved, and the yield, resistance, quality and adaptability of triticale are greatly improved.
