Magnetostatics is the study of magnetic fields in systems where the currents are steady (not changing with time). It is the magnetic analogue of electrostatics, where the charges are stationary. The magnetization need not be static; the equations of magnetostatics can be used to predict fast magnetic switching events that occur on time scales of nanoseconds or less. Magnetostatics is even a good approximation when the currents are not static — as long as the currents do not alternate rapidly. Magnetostatics is widely used in applications of micromagnetics such as models of magnetic storage devices as in computer memory. Magnetostatic focussing can be achieved either by a permanent magnet or by passing current through a coil of wire whose axis coincides with the beam axis.

The non-magnetic spacer layer is chosen so that first AP coupled free layer has a parallel interlayer (Neel or Orange-peel or positive exchange) coupling with the in-stack biasing structure, so that the interlayer coupling adds to the edge magnetostatic coupling to increase a stability of the AP coupled free layer structure.

The method includes the steps that (1) a mixture of ferromagnetic particles and thermoplastic plastics or a mixture of the ferromagnetic particles, thermosetting plastics and a curing agent is heated to be evenly mixed; (2) the raw materials are injected into a mold under certain pressure, the injection temperature is 140-260 DEG C, the magnetostatic field is applied in the position of the mold, and the magnetic field strength is 0.01-2.0 T; and (3) after pressure maintaining is conducted for a period of time, the mold can be opened when plastic parts are cooled to a certain temperature, the plastic parts are pushed out of the mold under the action of an ejecting mechanism, and accordingly the product is obtained. The method has the advantages that the magnetic composite material is prepared through the mature injection molding method, and the controllable composite material with ingredients being changed continuously can be prepared conveniently within a large thickness range by adjusting the magnetic field strength, the magnetic field gradient and other preparation technological parameters.

Therefore, the intermediate layer 4 cuts off the exchange coupling force between the recording layer 5 and the reproducing layer 3 during the reproduction. A magnetic domain 3A, which is transferred to the reproducing layer 3, is expanded to a size of a minimum magnetic domain diameter by the magnetostatic repulsive force exerted between the magnetic domain in the intermediate layer 4 and the magnetic domain in the reproducing layer. It is possible to obtain a reproduced signal having an amplified intensity without generating any ghost signal by the magnetic domain expansion reproduction.
