The invention relates to a method for improving stock
grafting through scion and belongs to the technical field of
biological engineering. The method comprises the following steps: 1) cultivating a stock: choosing a robust
seedling of a
plant having subterraneous stems, tubers, and roots as the stock; 2) scion: choosing an excellent foliage
branch of the same
crop as scion; and 3)
grafting. By using the method for improving stock
grafting, the mutual effect of scion and stock is utilized, thereby taking full advantages of the stock that the
seedling life is long, the root grows well, the capability of absorbing water and
fertilizer is strong, the
stress resistance is strong, the cultivation management is simple, the growing power is high, the
seedling is easily propagated, and the like. The advantages of scion
photosynthesis and
secondary metabolite composition are fully taken; the quality and output of subterraneous stems, tubers, and roots of the improved stock can be enhanced by scion
plant, thereby being high in application value for increasing the output and quality of the root, stem or tuber
plant crops. The method for improving stock grafting can be conveniently operated and has the advantages of low cost, high efficiency and stability, accuracy, high speed, and the like.
