Methods For Assessing Risk Of Cardiovascular Disease And Methods And Compounds For Use In Treating Or Preventing Cardiovascular Disease

A method of treating or preventing cardiovascular disease which comprises administering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one n-3 DPA-derived resolvin and/or upregulating or increasing the biosynthesis or activity of at least one n-3 DPA-derived resolvin. n-3 DPA-derived resolvins are normally regulated diurnally in the body and are linked to activation of platelets and leucocytes and formation of platelet-leukocyte aggregates. Dysfunctional regulation of n-3 DPA-derived resolvins may lead to systemic inflammation because of excessive inflammation-inducing eicosanoids, especially in the early hours of the morning. Further, decreased 5-LOX/15-LOX expression and increased systemic adenosine concentrations are found to be associated with reduced resolvin levels and increased risk of cardiovascular disease. n-3 DPA-derived resolvins are administered to achieve maximum absorption in the early hours. Also disclosed are n-3 DPA-derived resolvins for use in the treatment or prevention of cardiovascular disease, and methods for measuring the levels of n-3 DPA-derived resolvins and/or the expression or activity of adenosine or 5-LOX/15-LOX in biological samples obtained from a subject for assessing the subject's risk of cardiovascular disease.

The invention discloses a polyimide waterborne epoxy coating. The polyimide waterborne epoxy coating comprises the following components in parts by weight: 10 parts of waterborne epoxy resin, 50-100 parts of polyimide waterborne epoxy resin, 0.5-2 parts of a curing agent, 0.5-2 parts of a flatting agent, 0.1-1 part of a dispersing agent, 0.2-2 parts of a defoaming agent, 10-20 parts of pigment, 10-100 parts of filler and 50-100 parts of water. A preparation method of the polyimide water-borne epoxy resin comprises the following steps: (1) subjecting 1-amino-3-chloro-2-propanol hydrochloric acid to reacting with chlorosuccinic acid in an alkaline aqueous solution for 1 hour to prepare a solution I; (2) subjecting ethylene glycol disodium to reacting with 3,5-dichlorobenzenesulfonic acid in an alkaline aqueous solution for 0.5 h to prepare a solution II; and (3) mixing the solution I, the solution II and 3-chloro-5-epoxy methylbenzenesulfonic acid, conducting stirring and reacting for 3 hours to prepare the polyimide water-borne epoxy resin. The coating disclosed by the invention has the advantages of high chemical stability, low construction environment requirement, environment friendliness, no toxicity, high water resistance of a cured product and the like, and has prominent popularization prospects.

The invention discloses eye anti-wrinkle gel containing a pterostilbene compound capable of self-providing a weak acid environment. The eye anti-wrinkle gel is characterized by being prepared from thefollowing main components: 2 to 10 mg / ml of pterostilbene, 30 to 60 mg / ml of rebaudioside A, 5 to 12 mg / ml of glycyrrhizic acid, and 1 to 5 mg / ml of sodium hyaluronate. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) fully dissolving the pterostilbene into ethanol, mixing the rebaudioside A with the glycyrrhizic acid according to a proportion, dissolving the mixture in the pterostilbene-dissolved ethanol solution, and spinning the ethanol solution till the ethanol solution is dry, thus obtaining solid powder; (2) immersing the sodium hyaluronate in water over night till the sodium hyaluronate is completely dissolved for later use; (3) adding the solid powder obtained in Step (1) into the hyaluronate solution obtained in Step (2), and stirring the solution till the solid powder is completely dissolved. The dissolvability of the pterostilbene in the gel prepared with the method is obviously improved, so that the pterostilbene can be absorbed by eye skin more easily to exert aneye protecting effect. The eye anti-wrinkle gel is easy to prepare, and the pterostilbene compound-containing eye gel is extremely high in anti-oxidization capacity, can self-provide the weak acid environment and obviously improve the state of the eye skin, and is irritant.
