The invention provides a control method of a combustion engine using dimethyl ether and high-octane rating fuel, relating to a flexible scene mixing mode of dimethyl ether (DME) and high-octane rating fuel combining with a compound mixing combustion mode of ignition and compression ignition. According to the operation working condition of the combustion engine, the combustion mode is selected, and the scene mixing in different ratios is regulated in real time by using the pure DME and high-octane rating fuel so as to meet the requirement of the combustion engine on the fuel under the whole working condition. Under a starting and idling working condition, ignition is carried out by the pure DME; when in 0-30% small load, high-octane rating fuel-DME with high DME mixing ratio is used for carrying out homogeneity premixing and compression ignition; when in 30-70% intermediate load, the high-octane rating fuel-DME mixing fuel with low DME mixing ratio is used for carrying out spark ignition; and when in 70-100% high load, high-octane rating fuel is used for ignition. By using the technology, a combustion engine for a vehicle can reach an emission standard above ohm 4, and an efficient technical way is provided for using and consuming oil and fuel as well as improving engine heat efficiency and fuel oil economy.
