The method comprises the following steps: preparing synthetic hectorite into a suspension with the mass concentration of 0.1 wt%-5wt%, adjusting the pH value to 2-12 by using acid and alkali, carrying out high-pressure homogenization treatment under the pressure of 10-100 MPa, and carrying out filter pressing and strong drying to obtain the delaminated nano hectorite powder with the lamella thickness of 2-10 nm and the water content of less than or equal to 2.0%. Through the synergistic effect of pH regulation and high-pressure homogenization, on the premise of not damaging a crystal structure, efficient and rapid depolymerization of hectorite is achieved, and the method has the advantages of being simple in process, low in cost and easy to amplify.
