The invention provides a method for constructing a realistic dentition model, and belongs to the field of oral medicine. The method comprises the following steps: (1) acquiring a three-dimensional dental model and at least three intraoral illuminations, wherein the intraoral illuminations are color images of the oral cavity; (2) obtaining an optimal camera posture corresponding to each intraoral illumination by utilizing the three-dimensional dental model and the intraoral illuminations; and (3) mapping each intraoral illumination to the three-dimensional dental model according to the optimalcamera attitude corresponding to each intraoral illumination, finding a texture joint on the three-dimensional dental model, and then eliminating the texture joint to obtain a realistic dentition model. According to the method, the color dentition model with the real image texture can be semi-automatically constructed by using a small amount of simple manual operation, and the texture image on thedental model has no obvious distortion, dislocation or seam, so that a better simulation effect can be obtained; and by utilizing the method disclosed by the invention, the simulation effect of the dental model is improved in oral medical auxiliary systems such as dental aesthetic repair and the like, and manual intervention is reduced.
