Coccus is among the types of bacteria that are spherical in shape. They are single celled and they live as individuals. They can also pair up to form bunches and chains. The most common examples of the coccus types of bacteria are staphylococcus and streptococcus.
Inhibitors of bacterial type iii secretion system
The present invention is directed to novel organic compounds demonstrating the ability to inhibit effector toxin secretion or translocation mediated by bacterial type III secretion systems. The novel compounds include zwitterion moieties to provide polarity under appropriate conditions for solubility, formulation, and delivery to an individual while allowing the compounds to be less polar under other conditions such as binding to the T3SS needle target. The type III secretion system inhibitor compounds are useful for treating or preventing infections by such bacteria as Pseudomonas spp. and Chlamydia spp.

Pyridine-3-sulfonamide compounds and uses thereof
The application provides a pyridine-3-sulfonamide compound and an application thereof. The pyridine-3-sulfonamide compound provided by the application is a novel structure inhibitor of bacterial type II fatty acid synthesis dehydrogenase FabX, has a bacteriostatic effect on Helicobacter pylori strains, and can be further made into an anti-Helicobacter pylori drug or used for treating or preventing diseases caused by Helicobacter pylori infection.
