The present invention aims to solve
pedestrian inconvenience caused by freezing or
snow accumulation on the walkway during the
winter season and to prevent slipping by providing a walkway and a method for installing the same, wherein support blocks made of high-elasticity plastic or rubber are assembled like a puzzle, heating wires are inserted in a straight line into the upper grooves to generate heat, and an aluminum heat dissipation plate with excellent
thermal conductivity is placed over them to prevent freezing. During the
winter season, when alleyways, school routes, walking paths, market entrances and exits, overpasses, and government office access roads frequently used by pedestrians freeze or
snow accumulates, it causes
pedestrian inconvenience and poses serious problems such as slipping and injury; therefore, there is a need to prevent freezing of
pedestrian walkways and to rapidly melt accumulated
snow. Conventionally, to solve the problem of freezing or snow accumulation, methods such as scattering
coal ash or
calcium chloride on pedestrian walkways or using tools like shovels and hoes to remove frozen areas or snow accumulation require a large amount of manpower, cause environmental damage, and are very cumbersome, and there are various problems such as the fact that they are not completely resolved. Therefore, in order to prevent freezing or snow accumulation on pedestrian walkways during the winter or to melt it quickly, it is very practical to install
electric heating walkways that are fast and convenient rather than using de-
icing agents that are environmentally harmful and cumbersome to operate. Accordingly, the present invention aims to provide a pedestrian walkway and a method for installing the same, which prevents freezing and snow accumulation by assembling blocks of an elastic material like a puzzle, inserting a heating wire in a straight line into the upper groove to generate heat, and covering them with an aluminum heat dissipation plate having excellent
thermal conductivity so that heat generated in the groove of the supporting block, which functions as an insulator, is rapidly conducted through the aluminum heat dissipation plate while using a small amount of electrical energy, thereby allowing the freezing or snow accumulation on the aluminum heat dissipation plate to melt quickly. Furthermore, the present invention aims to provide a pedestrian walkway and a method for installing the same, which promote pedestrian safety by applying a highly visible color with a phosphorescent function during the manufacturing of the aluminum
heat sink to enhance convenience for nighttime walking, and by additionally providing a
physical function to prevent slipping by imparting uneven grooves to the aluminum
heat sink. The prefabricated heated walkway for preventing freezing according to the present invention has the
advantage of being installable not only on newly constructed walkways but also on existing
asphalt, paved roads, and sidewalk blocks, and can be installed even on uneven roads.
