This invention relates to the field of
coating preparation, specifically to a method for preparing a wear-resistant
coating on the surface of a
ball valve core based on hot-dip plating and rotary
extrusion. The method includes: cleaning and preheating the ball core substrate; heating a self-fluxing
alloy material to a
molten state to obtain a plating solution; clamping the ball core substrate with a fixture, immersing the
lower half of the ball core substrate in the plating solution; wherein, at a position where the ball core substrate detaches from the plating solution surface, a
contouring extrusion roller matching the curvature of the outer spherical surface of the ball core substrate is arranged, maintaining a rigid gap between the
contouring extrusion roller and the ball core substrate; the ball core substrate rotates uniformly around its own axis, skimming over the plating solution surface, and the adhering plating solution forms a semi-
solid coating before reaching the rigid gap due to the
supercooling of the ball core substrate; the semi-
solid coating is radially extruded by the
contouring extrusion roller during its passage through the rigid gap, and after
air cooling, a wear-resistant coating is obtained. This invention overcomes
gravity flow, eliminates the secondary
sintering process, and achieves coating densification and precise contouring during immersion plating.
