System and methods are disclosed for fluid measurements which may be utilized to determine mass flow rates such as instantaneous mass flow of a fluid stream. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention may be utilized to compare an input mass flow to an output mass flow of a drilling fluid circulation stream. In one embodiment, a fluid flow rate is determined by utilizing a microwave detector in combination with an acoustic sensor. The acoustic signal is utilized to eliminate 2pi phase ambiguities in a reflected microwave signal. In another embodiment, a fluid flow rate may be determined by detecting a phase shift of an acoustic signal across two different predetermined transmission paths. A fluid density may be determined by detecting a calibrated phase shift of an acoustic signal through the fluid. In another embodiment, a second acoustic signal may be transmitted through the fluid to define a particular 2pi phase range which defines the phase shift. The present invention may comprise multiple transmitters / receivers operating at different frequencies to measure instantaneous fuel levels of cryogenic fuels within containers positioned in zero or near zero gravity environments. In one embodiment, a moveable flexible collar of transmitter / receivers may be utilized to determine inhomogenuities within solid rocket fuel tubes.

OD calibration method by use of mobile phone signaling big data and dynamic traffic distribution

The invention relates to resident travel OD matrix calibration method by use of mobile phone signaling big data and dynamic traffic distribution. The method comprises the following major steps: a city road simulation network model is constructed, simulation parameters of each road in a constructed city road network are calibrated by use of microwave and bayonet data, a real traffic flow in an actual road network is obtained by use of a microwave detector, a traffic flow of an initial OD matrix is obtained by use of mobile phone signaling data, through a dynamic traffic distribution method, an initial traffic flow is dynamically adjusted so as to be enabled to be close to the real traffic flow in the road network, an error between a simulation estimation traffic flow and the real traffic flow is calculated, if the error satisfies a threshold, calibration ends, and otherwise, dynamic distribution based on simulation is continuously carried out until the calibration ends. According to the invention, a dynamic OD matrix of resident travel is calibrated by use of the mobile phone signaling big data, and the method has the advantages of stable and objective data information sources, large sample size, wide coverage scope, high data precision, high dynamic performance and the like.

Intelligent elevator

The invention relates to a high-efficiency elevator adopting certain-hardware equipment and a management system by adopting a certain number of infrared microwave detectors, a pressure sensor and an electronic monitor. Different from a common monitor, the electronic monitor is additionally provided with an area of a number of floors to be stopped and an area of the residual effective elevator load number. By upgrading monitor contents used in a common elevator, i.e. adding the area of the residual effective elevator load number and the area of the number of floors to be stopped, mounting the pressure sensor in the elevator and mounting the infrared microwave detector at the elevator entry, the invention solves the following problems: how to let passengers waiting for the elevator to know the real-time conditions of the elevator, how to acquire the real-time information of the elevator, and how to acquire whether a person waiting for stairs waits for the elevator or not. Accordingly, the passengers can clearly know the real-time conditions of the elevator which can acquire more real-time information so that the conditions, such as, the full elevator still stops, nobody gets on the stopped elevator, a waiter waits in vain, and the like can be avoid, and the operation efficiency of the elevator is improved, the energy-saving aim is achieved, and the operation cost of the elevator is decreased.

Ambient humidity measurement using microwaves

A humidity sensor which utilizes microwave energy to determine a particular humidity value, e.g., a relative humidity, a specific humidity, or a dew point, without the need for delicate moving parts. The microwave humidity sensor requires little if any maintenance over a significantly long operational life, and is capable of highly accurate humidity measurements even at the extremes (e.g., toward 0% relative humidity and toward 100% relative humidity. In the disclosed embodiment, a microwave generator/transmitter is continuously or periodically pulsed to cause a known amount of microwave energy to be propelled through a metal tube structure, e.g., a waveguide tube structure. A microwave detector measures the amount of microwave energy at the other end of the tube structure. A processor measures the temperature of the ambient air within or just outside the tube structure and the pressure, and by measuring the output of the detector determines the amount of microwave energy which was absorbed during the passage through the tube structure. Given the amount of microwave energy absorbed and the temperature and pressure of the ambient air, a value for a desired humidity value is determined using interpolation as necessary from a look-up table containing empirically obtained absorption and temperature/pressure values for given humidity values.
