The invention provides a point location accuracy evaluation method for a gantry drilling machine tool. The method comprises the steps that 1, a theoretical machining point of a tool is constructed, position coordinates NPi=[xi,yi,zi] of the theoretical machining point and a unit cutter-axis vector Vi=[Ii, Ji and Ki]T of a cutter located at the position are obtained; 2, three non-collinear points are selected on a first rotating shaft as mark points, the machine tool is adjusted to the initial state and a laser tracker is used for measuring coordinates of the mark points at the moment; then, an axial equation of the first rotating shaft and an axial equation of a second rotating shaft are obtained, and initial position coordinates TCP0 of a cutter point of the cutter are worked out; 3, the machine tool is started to work, the laser tracker is used for measuring coordinates of the mark points on the first rotating shaft when the cutter moves the theoretical machining points; 4, actual machining position coordinates of the cutter point of the cutter are worked out, and a difference delta Pi between the actual machining position coordinates and the theoretical machining position coordinates of the cuter point and a comprehensive error delta Pi are worked out. The measuring and calculation method is simple and rapid, and the cost is saved.
