The purpose is to solve the problems that in the forestation initial stage of sonneratia apetala Buch-Ham, the survival rate is low, and the preserving rate is low. The method includes the following steps of seedling cultivation, seedling transplanting and stem and root cutting, and the cultivation method has the advantages that stem cutting and secondary root cutting are performed on the container-grown seedlings of certain specifications in the later stage of sonneratia apetala Buch-Ham seedling cultivation, so that the sonneratia apetala Buch-Ham seedlings are developed in root system, plants are robust, the thickness of stems is increased obviously, and high-quality seedlings good in uniformity can be provided for coast protection forest construction. The seedlings cultivated by the application of the technology can make the original forestation survival rate be improved above 95% from 85%, and the original preserving rate of annual growth sonneratia apetala Buch-Ham can be improved to 90% from 81%. Therefore, compared with the traditional mode that half year growth seedlings of the 40cm-70cm height are adopted for performing forestation, the forestation survival rate and the preserving rate are greatly improved. The technology is particularly suitable for performing mangrove forest forestation on coastal mud flat.
