This invention discloses a recombinant
protein for the prevention of
Klebsiella pneumoniae, its
gene, and its applications. The recombinant
protein includes specific antigenic epitopes of
Klebsiella pneumoniae OmpA
protein and / or OmpX protein. The
amino acid sequences of the specific antigenic epitopes of the
Klebsiella pneumoniae OmpA protein are shown in SEQ ID NO.1, and the
amino acid sequences of the specific antigenic epitopes of the Klebsiella pneumoniae OmpX protein are shown in SEQ ID NO.2. The recombinant protein can be efficiently expressed in a prokaryotic
system and, after purification and refolding, exhibits good
immunogenicity. Animal experiments show that this recombinant protein can induce high-
titer specific antibodies and cellular immune responses in mice and provides significant protection against lethal doses of Klebsiella pneumoniae challenge. The single-component proteins KP-A and KP-X showed higher protection rates in the challenge experiment. The recombinant protein provided by this invention can be used to prepare vaccines or immunizing agents for the prevention and / or treatment of Klebsiella pneumoniae infection.
