The invention discloses a plate chain control method for an automatic storage battery plate wrapping machine. In the prior art, electrode plates conveyed by a plate chain are easy to fall over and excessively slide when conveying efficiency of the plate chain is pursued. The control method includes that the plate chain is rotated continuously in a debugging mode, and the value of Y is measured by a stop lever signal D; according to default initial values of parameters of rho,P0, P1, P2, K1 and K2, the plate chain is rotated in a debugging mode and in a step-by-step manner and operation effect of the plate chain is observed; according to falling and sliding conditions of the electrode plates during acceleration and deceleration of the plate chain, the parameters of the rho, the P0, the P1, the P2, the K1 and the K2 are adjusted manually; when the electrode plates do not fall over and sliding amplitude is small during acceleration and deceleration of the plate chain, adjustment of control parameters is completed. The parameters are stored automatically when the debugging module ends up, and the speed of the plate chain is controlled according to adjusted control parameters in a normal operation mode. The control method can be applied to the majority of specifications of stepping motors and electrode plates, and application debugging of the control method is simple and efficient.
