Training simulator for sharp shooting

The simulator of the invention is based on a number of functional units connected directly or remotely to the central computer for controlling the operation and recording the shooting results. The weapon unit is untethered and includes a real hand gun equipped with a snap-on emitter unit to send simultaneously two beams of light upon pulling the trigger—a wide angle infrared beam and a narrowly focused and aimed at the target light beam. The infrared beam is registered by the sensor near the screen and a signal indicating a firing event is sent to the computer. The light beam, preferably from a laser source is sent towards the screen, reflected therefrom towards the optical block and travels through a number of fixed and rotating mirrors and through a light divider to the light sensor. That sensor when activated sends the HIT or MISS signal to the computer. Importantly, the optical travel path of the reflected from the screen light beam coincides with the travel path of the light beam generating the target of the screen. Controlled by the computer, rotation of the rotating mirrors both places the target at a specific area of the screen as well as allows accepting of the light beam from the screen by the light sensor. The target generator allows to position the target on the screen in any desirable area or to move it with constant or variable speed along a predetermined complex path on the screen. A video projector allows adding of the pre-recorded of virtual computer-generated surrounding scene onto the screen to increase the degree of realism of the shooting exercise.

Surveymeter for parallelism of optical axis of visible and infrared light wave

The invention relates to a surveymeter for parallelism of optical axis of visible and infrared light wave, comprising an infrared light part and a visible light part. Firstly, aiming is operated by employing visible light, the visible light emitted by a visible light source lightens up a cross wire by a cross-linegraticule, an emergent visible cross wire image is formed on a visible light CCD, after being reflexed by an infrared beam splitter, a secondary mirror, a primary mirror and a standard flat mirror, the emergent visible light returns to the visible light CCD by the optical devices and forms a return cross wire image, and a system is adjusted to superpose the emergent visible cross wire image and the return cross wire image, thereby completing instrument aiming. Then infrared light is employed for detecting, iraser emitted by an infrared laser passes through a series of optical elements of the infrared light part, and an emergent infrared spot and a return infrared spot on an infrared CCD are extracted by measurement software. Error value of the parallelism can be obtained by formula computing. The surveymeter of the invention adopts the visible light to aim and the infrared light to detect the parallelism error, thereby reducing experiment risk while improving measurement precision.

Method and system for compensating for RF amplitude and phase error of antenna array

The invention discloses a system for compensating for an RF amplitude and phase error of an antenna array, and the system comprises an RF target simulation device, a vector network analyzer, a main control computer, a three-axle rotary table, an RF calibration device and an RF infrared beam combination device. The RF target simulation device consists of an antenna array, a matrix switch, a targetcontrol computer, a signal source, an attenuation module and a phase shift module, and is used for generating the simulated target scattering RF signal features. The RF signal outputted by the signalsource is divided into two ways: one way is received by the attenuation module, and the attenuated signal passes through the phase shift module, and then passes through the matrix switch to select a transmitting antenna in the antenna array, and then the transmitting antenna transmits a to-be-simulated RF signal; the other way is transmitted to the vector network analyzer. The system can achieve the compensation for the error caused by the amplitude and phase consistency of an RF signal of an original antenna array after various types of beam combination devices of the plate-shaped macro geometric structures are inserted into a dark room, and improves the characteristics of a working area.

3D cursor or joystick device

A 3D cursor or joystick device and control method employs a complementary pair of emitter/detector units, one worn on a part of a user's body (e.g., the head) and the other mounted in a stationary position on a display monitor facing the user. Each unit has an array of photovoltaic (PV) cells centered on a normal axis and an infrared diode for emitting a light beam on the normal axis. Each photodetectors array receives the infrared beam from the other unit and provides output signals representing the light intensities of the received beam on the PV cells. The PV cell response signals of the complementary units are used together to calculate the position and angular orientation of the user-worn unit relative to the stationary unit. The position and angle values are used by a software device driver installed on a computer to control 3D navigation functions of the associated application program on the computer. The system can be used for playing interctive 3D games, and also used for hands-free control in a wide range of other applications and environments, such as to control flight motions in a simulator or cockpit of an aircraft, or the command center of a naval vessel, spaceship, land vehicle, etc., for disabled persons to provide hands-free input to a computer, motorized wheelchair, prosthetic device, etc., and for controlling various functions in an industrial environment, such as guiding machine-assisted movement, or in CAD design, architectural, medical graphics, virtual reality, and other applications.
