A method for thermally joining at least one first plastic component (100, 102) with a thermoset structure and at least one second plastic component (104, 106) with a
thermoplastic surface, wherein the steps are: modifying at least one surface section of the at least one first plastic component (100, 102) using a
thermoplastic functionalization layer (120, 220); arranging at least one bonding layer (122, 222) with an uncrosslinked or partially crosslinked thermoset structure between the at least one modified surface section of the at least one first plastic component (100, 102) and the
thermoplastic surface of the at least one second plastic component (104, 106); and heating the bonding layer (122) to form an
interphase between the bonding layer (122) and the at least one modified surface section of the at least one first plastic component (100, 102).102) on the one hand and the bonding layer (122) and the thermoplastic surface of the at least one second plastic component (104, 106) on the other hand and to effect crosslinking of the thermoset structure of the bonding layer (122), and plastic component composite (108) comprising at least one first plastic component (100, 102) with a thermoset structure and at least one second plastic component (104, 106) with a thermoplastic surface, wherein the plastic components (100, 102) are joined according to such a method.
