The invention discloses a composite assembling method for a multi-core superconducting
ingot blank. The method comprises the following steps of cleaning a
single core rod and an
oxygen-free
copper pipe, after cleaning the
oxygen-free
copper pipe, placing the cleaned
oxygen-free
copper pipe on a working platform, sleeving a head of an NbTi single-core rod with a copper pipe, carrying out rotary
swaging of the head of the NbTi single-core rod by utilizing a rotary
swaging machine, extending a traction tool out of the copper pipe, clamping a part of the head of the NbTi single-core rod sleeved with the copper pipe, starting the traction
machine to pull out the NbTi single-core rod from the copper pipe, and carrying out overall rotary
swaging to obtain the multi-core superconducting
ingot blank. The assembling method is advantaged in that the traction tool can stably and reliably fix the NbTi hexagonal rod, labor intensity is reduced by utilizing the traction
machine, in the penetrating process, stable, reliable and uniform force
exertion is achieved, performance of the NbTi multi-core superconducting
ingot blank is improved, the core
breakage rate is lower than 0.5%, nonuniformity ofthe current-carrying performance of a wire in the length direction is reduced to 3% or below, the tensile strength is improved by 5%, and the method has wide applicability in the field of NbTi multi-core superconducting ingot blank assembling.
