This invention relates to the technical field of
metal cutting tools, specifically to a compound
helical end mill, comprising a neck and a
cutting edge; the
cutting edge includes side edges, one end of which is connected to the neck, and the other end has a plurality of side edges arranged circumferentially around the axis of the neck. Along the direction of circumferential arrangement, the side edges include left-hand left-cutting side edges and right-hand right-cutting side edges, which are set at the same end face height of the cutting edge. This structural arrangement allows both types of side edges to be aligned with the milling surface of the workpiece, thus eliminating the need to translate the
end mill for re-alignment during operation, achieving efficient deburring while improving tool clamping accuracy and
machining accuracy; furthermore, this structural arrangement helps to reduce the circumferential length of the
end mill, making it more suitable for
machining narrow grooves such as T-slots.
