The invention discloses an inter-frame noise reduction method based on motion detection. According to the method, moving targets are extracted by a multi-Gaussian mixture background model method and an overlapping stationary area between two adjacent frames are found, then inter-frame accumulative filtering is performed on the area, and moving target areas and non-moving target areas in non-overlapping areas are replaced by background models established by an intra-frame filtering algorithm and the multi-Gaussian mixture background model method respectively. Meanwhile, the algorithm can also self-adaptively adjust the number of stack frames and has a multistage adjustable function. The innovative points reside in that moving target detection of images is performed firstly, then AND operation is performed on two successive frames of foreground images including the moving targets only, and the inter-frame filtering algorithm, the intra-frame filtering algorithm or a background model replacement algorithm is selected according to the result of AND operation so that the phenomena of edge virtual images, pseudo images and even lost of the moving targets caused by the conventional inter-frame filtering algorithm can be avoided, and the great noise reduction effect of the moving images can also be achieved.

Hanging scaffold support

A scaffold support system having an adjustable-width hanger. A vertical leg may support a foot upon which rests a deck, providing a working surface during building construction or modification. A lateral beam rests on a support structure forming part of the wall of a building with the vertical leg securing to the lateral beam at a plurality of points. A stop secured to the lateral beam to capture a support structure between itself and the vertical leg. The stop may be adjustable along the lateral beam to accommodate support structures of varying widths. An operator may insert the hanger from inside a building and pass the coupler through a gap between a frieze block and a top plate, presenting the coupler for securement to the vertical leg. A catch may slide along the foot into and out of engagement with an edge of the deck to prevent rotation of the deck.

Inertial sensor

An inertial sensor comprising a sensing portion having a weight hung by beams extending from a frame, the weight being a movable portion. The beams include distortion portions partially arranged therein, and the distortion portions are arranged to avoid edges on which stresses applied to the beams are concentrated. Roots of the beams are not formed at right angle in connecting to the weights or the frame. The roots of the beams have wider angles. It is thus possible to dissipate areas on which stresses are concentrated and improve the impact resistance without sacrificing the sensor sensitivity. Both high sensor sensitivity and the impact resistance are obtainable in accordance with the present invention.

The coaxial line comprises a coaxial inner conductor and a first dielectric layer encompassing the coaxial inner conductor and which is surrounded by a coaxial outer conductor. The coplanar line comprises a second dielectric layer with a coplanar inner conductor and a first and second coplanar outer conductor applied to the front side thereof and with a metallization layer followed by a substrate carrier layer on the rear side thereof. When high bit rate data signals are transmitted via the connecting point of the coaxial line and the coplanar line, the capacitative power is increased and undesirable reflections occur. In order to avoid this, a recess is provided in the metallization layer, beginning at the point of connection between the coaxial line and the coplanar line and extending in an approximately symmetrical manner with respect to the coplanar inner conductor, tapering in the direction of the coplanar inner conductor as the distance from the point of connection increases.

The reactor is manufactured by following processes. First protrusions that make contact with an inner circumferential surface of the ring core are provided on outer sides of the flanges along a cylinder axis direction. Second protrusions are provided at positions facing the corresponding first protrusions across the ring core are provided on a cavity surface of a mold that forms the plastic cover by injection molding. The plastic cover is formed by injecting molten resin into the mold while clamping the ring core by the first and second protrusions.

Method and apparatus for fast quantitative analysis of a material by laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS)

The invention discloses an apparatus and method for use with Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) systems that can be applied to the real time analysis of various materials. The invention, in one aspect, provides a layer-by-layer method to remove the undesired coating layer of a material in which a pulsed laser is coupled with high speed scanning optics. To prepare the surface for LIBS, (i) a pulsed laser beam is scanned over an area of the surface to ablate the surface coating layer; (ii) the laser parameters are changed (i.e. pulse duration is made smaller) and the area scanned again to polish the surface; and (iii) the laser parameters are changed again (i.e. pulse duration is made smaller yet again) and the area scanned again with spectrometric analysis of the plasma plume created by the laser (i.e. LIBS is performed).

This method gives a continuous strip from which the release liner can be smoothly removed without “binding” even at the joint.
