1316 results about "Honey bee" patented technology

A honey bee (also spelled honeybee) is a eusocial flying insect within the genus Apis of the bee clade, all native to Eurasia but spread to four other continents by human beings. They are known for construction of perennial, colonial nests from wax, for the large size of their colonies, and for their surplus production and storage of honey, distinguishing their hives as a prized foraging target of many animals, including honey badgers, bears and human hunter-gatherers. In the early 21st century, only seven species of honey bee are recognized, with a total of 44 subspecies, though historically seven to eleven species are recognized. The best known honey bee is the western honey bee which has been domesticated for honey production and crop pollination; modern humans also value the wax for candlemaking, soapmaking, lip balms, and other crafts. Honey bees represent only a small fraction of the roughly 20,000 known species of bees. Some other types of related bees produce and store honey and have been kept by humans for that purpose, including the stingless honey bees, but only members of the genus Apis are true honey bees. The study of bees, which includes the study of honey bees, is known as melittology.

Chinese bee original ecology beekeeping method capable of multiple drawing honey and original ecology beehive thereof

The invention provides an original ecological beekeeping method and an original ecological beehive thereof which can provide honey for a plurality of times. The invention employs the original ecological beehive with movable covers on the top and the bottom and supporting strips at the middle part. Beekeeping and honey obtaining steps are that the following: 1. the bees are led to spit wax and make comb in the beehive in the state of standing stably; a honey storing area is arranged on the top of the comb, at the bottom of which is a breeding area; when the honey storing area is full, the covers are closed; then the honey is cut down and collected from the honey storing area, while the cutting operation can not exceed the supporting strips in the middle part; 2. after honey collection is finished, the body of the beehive is turned upside down; currently, the breeding area is at the upper part; after larva bee are out of the beehive, the breeding area is changed into a honey storing area which can store honey continuously; while the lower part is the cut original honey storing area, on which the bee can continuously spit wax and make comb to form a new breeding area; when the newly formed honey storing area is full and covered by the covers, the step 1 is repeated and the honey storing area is cut down to collect honey; 3. the step 2 is repeated.

Method for improving hybrid seed production yield and quality of common head cabbages

The invention relates to a method for improving hybrid seed production yield and quality of common head cabbages, which belongs to the technical field of plant cultivation. The method comprises the following steps of: seeding and raising seedlings from a female parent and a male parent in early August, and seeding English wallflower in mid-to-late September; planting the raised seedlings of the female parent and the male parent of the common head cabbages in a hybrid seed production field of the common head cabbages in mid-to-late September, wherein English wallflower planting points are reserved in each seed production field; planting young English wallflower seedlings in the field planting points reserved in the hybrid seed production field of the common head cabbages in later October; applying aqueous solution of honey with the concentration of 0.5-1 percent to foliages for 2-3 times during a flowering period of common head cabbage plants, putting about 60000 bees in two boxes for auxiliary pollination in each mu during natural pollination; and harvesting and timely airing and threshing the common head cabbages when common head cabbage pods are yellowed and seeds are browned. The honey source crops are reasonably planted in the seed production field, and the honey mixed solution is sprayed during the flowering period, so that the bees can be effectively attracted to perform pollination, the cross pollination probability obviously increases, and the seed production yield and quality of the common head cabbages are obviously improved.

Bee attractant and method for field seed production and bee pollination of soybean hybrids

The invention discloses a bee attractant and a method for field seed production and pollination of soybean hybrids. The method comprises the following steps of: selecting a field which is suitable for the growth of soybeans, duly sowing the soybean hybrids, and intercropping male parents and female parents across ridges; selecting a required amount of healthy pollination swarm within 5 to 7 days before pollination, and transporting into the field of the soybeans at the early flowering stage of the soybeans; feeding attractant syrup within 1 hour before the bee attractant is sprayed everyday or every other day in the seed production field of the soybean hybrids which just blossom; spraying the bee attractant on leaves of hybrid soybean plants of the male parents and the female parents in 1 to 5 ridges of field across 1 to 5 ridges of field every 1 to 3 days so as to ensure that bees are attracted into the field and fall down to the leaves of the hybrid soybean plants to eat the syrup; spraying the attractant on two sides of stalks of the hybrid soybean plants to attract the bees to fall down to hybrid soybeans to collect so as to pollinate the hybrid soybeans; and stopping spraying the bee attractant in rainy days, and restoring the spray when the weather gets better so as to maintain the attractant which can meet the requirements in the field. The attractant is obtained by mixing a honeycomb liquid, a flower aroma imitation liquid and syrup in a proportion and diluting by using quantitative cold boiled water.

Honey bee attractant and method for seed production and honeybee pollination of soybean hybrid seed in field

The invention discloses a honey bee attractant and a method for seed production and pollination of a soybean hybrid seed in a field. The honey bee attractant is prepared from cellular liquid, imitation flower liquid, syrup and water. The method comprises the steps of: selecting the field suitable for growth of soybean, sowing the soybean hybrid seed in good time, interplanting a male parent and a female parent at an interval of a ridge, selecting required quantity of healthy pollination swarm before pollination, transporting the healthy pollination swarm in the soybean field at an early flowering stage of the soybean; feeding attractant syrup one hour before spraying the honey bee attractant in each day or at an interval of a day; forming 1-5 ridges for every1-3 days, spraying the honey bee attractant on hybrid soybean plant leaf of the male parent and the female parent in the 1-5 ridges; inducing a large quantity of bees to gradually fall on the hybrid soybean plant leaf to eat the attractant syrup; then spraying the honey bee attractant on the two sides of a hybrid soybean strain stem, inducing the bees to climb on the soybean strain stem and continue to climb on the soybean to collect, thereby pollinating the hybrid soybean; stopping spraying the honey bee attractant in a cloudy or rainy day, and spraying the honey bee attractant when the weather gets nicer, so as to keep enough attractant required for inducing the bees in the field.
