The advertising light box is used for providing illumination for printing images, and comprises a light source with a plurality of light-emitting areas, a plurality of pieces of contrast information and a programmable light source controller, wherein the plurality of pieces of contrast information is determined according to the contents of an image to be printed, and each piece of contrast information corresponds to one kind of brightness contrast generated by a plurality of light-emitting areas. Therefore, the programmable light source controller can be used for driving the plurality of light-emitting areas to generate different brightness contrasts at different periods of time according to the plurality of pieces of contrast information.
