A power cable having improved durability and associated methods of assembly and use are described herein. In one aspect, the power cable is adapted for use in powering an implantable circulatory pump system. The cable includes one or more conductors of uninsulated wire strands that are loosely packed so as to move relative one another during cable flexure. The driveline cable may include a plurality of conductors, each comprised of multiple uninsulated bundles of uninsulated, loosely packed wire strands of a conductive material, that are wrapped about a central core. A solenoid-driven automatic bus transfer switch may automatically transfer one or more electrical loads from a first power source to a second power source, or vice versa, in the event of a power failure or other casualty that affects either power source. The transfer switch may be operated in response to the energization of a solenoid coil, which causes a main shaft having a transfer element to rotate from being in contact with the first power source to being in contact with the second power source. A shield conductor that shields an electrical wire includes a shield pipe and a metallic braid part that are connected together by a weld along a circumferential direction. The weld may be made by ultrasonic welding. The welding may be direct welding, or welding in which a welding member is melted and then hardened to connect the shield pipe and the metallic braid part together.

The cable has the advantages of softness, low temperature and aging resistance, tear resistance, high flame retardance and high strength, has softness characteristic under low temperature, improves the tensile strength, is suitable for the special environment such as reciprocation and has excellent mechanical property and electrical property.

The invention provides a shielding rubber-jacketed flexible cable for a coal cutter. The shielding rubber-jacketed flexible cable comprises power line cores, a control line core, a ground wire core, wrapping tape and an outer sheath. The invention discloses a cable for ship hydrophone equipment and a manufacturing method thereof, which belong to the field of cables, wherein a cable core is formed by intertwisting four insulated wire cores in a star shaped disposition, and the pitch diameter ratio for intertwisting is 8 to 10; each insulated wire core comprises a core wire conductor in the center; each core wire conductor is formed by intertwisting 16 tinned copper wire bundles with a diameter of 0.15mm to 0.20mm and a single wire elongation at break of 15% to 20%, and the pitch diameter ratio for intertwisting is 8 to 11; the peripheries of the core wire conductors are wrapped with insulating layers in an extrusion way, and the thickness of each insulating layer is 0.60 to 0.62mm; the insulating layers of two of the insulated wire cores, which are opposite to each other, are wrapped with shielding layers, and each shielding layer is formed by weaving the tinned copper wires with a single wire diameter of 0.12 to 0.14mm, and the weaving density is 90% to 95%; the shielding layers are externally lapped with insulated tape lapped layers, and a packing layer which makes the cable core round and complete is arranged on the periphery of the cable core; and the periphery of the packing layer is wrapped with an outer sheath in an extrusion way, and the outer sheath is made from chlorosulfonated polyethylene with a thickness of 1.2 to 1.4mm. The cable has advantages of fine insulating property, long service life and capability of meeting the operational requirements of the ship hydrophone equipment.
