The application provides a
nanoparticle reinforced low-cost aluminum
alloy melt-resistant die steel and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing
titanium aluminum
powder, B4C
powder and C
powder to obtain a mixture 1, and
coating the mixture 1 into a wire A by using pure aluminum strip; mixing the wire A with pure aluminum liquid after heating, and
casting and rolling to obtain an intermediate
alloy wire B coated with aluminum-coated TiC+TiB2
ceramic nanoparticles after mechanical stirring and ultrasonic treatment; batching, heating raw materials to complete melting to obtain a molten die steel liquid; adding the wire B into the
molten steel liquid, and obtaining the
nanoparticle reinforced low-cost aluminum
alloy melt-resistant die steel after vacuum degassing,
casting, electroslag remelting, high-temperature
diffusion,
forging, annealing,
quenching and
tempering. The
nanoparticle reinforced low-cost aluminum alloy melt-resistant die steel prepared by the application can be immersed in molten aluminum alloy at 740-760 DEG C, and the
erosion weight loss rate of the die steel obtained by the application is 32-48 mg / cm 2 , and the average thickness of the
intermetallic compound layer is less than or equal to 159 µm.
