The approach employs mixing images of the series to incorporate both scene shadow and highlight details, and the removing of “ghost” image artifacts appearing in the mixed HDR image resulting from movement in the scene over the time the series images are captured. The low computational resource utilization of the present invention's image mixing and ghost removal processing operations, along with the present invention's ability to commence image mixing and ghost removal prior to the acquisition of all series images, can significantly reduce the time required to generate and display a tone mapped HDR image.

Hydrocarbon and hydrogen fuels and other products may be produced by a process employing a combination of fermentation and electrochemical stages. In the process, a biomass contained within a fermentation medium is fermented with an inoculum comprising a mixed culture of microorganisms derived the rumen contents of a rumen-containing animal. This inoculated medium is incubated under anaerobic conditions and for a sufficient time to produce volatile fatty acids. The resultant volatile fatty acids are then subjected to electrolysis under conditions effective to convert said volatile fatty acids to hydrocarbons and hydrogen simultaneously. The process can convert a wide range of biomass materials to a wide range of volatile fatty acid chain lengths and can convert these into a wide range of biobased fuels and biobased products.

A fuse device for fitting over and around a corner of a battery housing has a top wall and two side walls extending downward from the top wall. The side walls are joined at a corner. A battery terminal for mechanical and electrical attachment to a battery post is provided in the top wall. Electrical connectors for connection to terminals on the ends of electrical cables are mounted on the side walls of the fuse device. The electrical connectors are linked through the walls to the battery terminal by fuses. An I/O dielectric layer is formed in core and I/O regions of a semiconductor device (506). The I/O dielectric layer is removed (508) from the core region of the device. A core dielectric layer is formed in the core region (510). A barrier layer is deposited and patterned to expose the NMOS devices of the core region (512). The core dielectric layer is removed from the core NMOS devices (514). A high-k dielectric layer is formed (514) over the core and I/O regions. Then, the high-k dielectric layer is removed (512) from PMOS regions/devices of the core region and the NMOS and PMOS regions/devices of the I/O region.

The present invention facilitates semiconductor fabrication by providing methods of fabrication that selectively form high-k dielectric layers within NMOS regions. A first oxide layer is formed in core and I/O regions of a semiconductor device (506). The first oxide layer is removed (508) from the core region of the device. A high-k dielectric layer is formed (510) over the core and I/O regions. Then, the high-k dielectric layer is removed (512) from PMOS regions of the core and I/O regions. A texturing system for use in a three-dimensional imaging system comprises a memory (22) for storing mip-map data for use in texturing an image. A controller (24) retrieves from the memory the mip-map data required and this data is stored in a cache (30). A distributed coverage hole recovery process using connectivity information is proposed for wireless sensor networks and other wireless networks. A link is said to exist between two nodes which are sufficiently close. After a un-triangulated hole is detected enclosing by links between N (N>3) active boundary nodes, the distributed hole recovery process activates one or two redundant nodes to recover the hole at each iteration. This process is performed iteratively by each of the active boundary nodes adjacent to the hole independently without any central controller. It requires 2 hops connectivity or neighbor information from each boundary node adjacent to the hole. After each hole recovery iteration, the hole is reduced in size or split into two smaller holes. Then the hole recovery process repeats until the hole is recovered or detected as unrecoverable.

In addition, the energy storage device includes a switching network configured so as to connect the lithium battery module and the lead storage battery module in different arrangement modes. The energy storage device is connected to both ends of a load and supplies power. The switching network can include a path for connecting the lithium battery module and the lead storage battery module, and a plurality of switches provided on the path. The first sensing unit is configured so as to measure the temperature and the voltage of the lithium battery modules, and the second sensing unit is configured so as to measure the temperature and the voltage of the lead storage battery module. The controller controls the switching network in order to change the arrangement modes of the lithium battery module and the lead storage battery module of the energy storage device.
