System and method for enabling the coexistence of multiple wireless communications on a single unit. A preferred embodiment comprises receiving a schedule of reserved message transfer times from a coexistence unit of a first wireless network in a mobile unit at a coexistence unit of a second wireless network in the mobile unit, selecting an operating mode for the coexistence unit based on the schedule, and transferring messages on the first wireless network and the second wireless network based on the schedule. The first wireless network is restricted to being able to transfer messages only during scheduled times. The sharing of the schedule of reserved message transfer times can enable the transfer of messages in the second wireless network to occur in between the reserved message transfer times, thereby reducing message collisions that can negatively impact data transfer performance of both wireless networks.

The inventive system allows for more efficient use of resources for providing location information in a wireless network where multiple sources of such information may be available. In one implementation, a first source of location information such as Cell ID information is used to monitor the location of a mobile unit. The first source may provide sufficient location information in many instances. For example, in the case of a location-based billing application, Cell ID information may be sufficient in some cases to indicate that a subscriber is within or outside of a home zone. The invention provides a composition in concentrated form (“the concentrate”) for dilution with water in the preparation of an agricultural composition for application to crops, soil or animals, comprising a carbohydrate-based pH modifying agent and a pH indicator. The proportions of the pH indicator and the pH modifying agent in the concentrate are selected so that when the concentrate is diluted with an appropriate amount of water, the pH indicator indicates visually by colouration of the composition, whether or not the pH of the water is suitable for acceptable agricultural activity of the chemical. The invention belongs to the field of function materials, and specifically relates to a photopolymer/liquid crystal/zinc sulfide nano-composite holographic grating and a preparation method therefor. The method comprises the steps: employing a single-functionality acrylamide monomer, a multi-functionality cross-linking agent, liquid crystal, zinc sulfide nano-particles and photoinitiator as raw materials, mixing the raw materials to form mixed solution, pouring the mixed solution into a liquid crystal box, and carrying out exposure through the interference light, thereby obtaining the photopolymer/liquid crystal/zinc sulfide nano-composite holographic grating. The diffraction efficiency of the photopolymer/liquid crystal/zinc sulfide nano-composite holographic grating is higher than 90%, and a drive voltage is less than 2.5V/micron. Meanwhile, the photopolymer/liquid crystal/zinc sulfide nano-composite holographic grating is high in diffraction efficiency, and is low in drive voltage. The photopolymer/liquid crystal/zinc sulfide nano-composite holographic grating is good in application prospects in the fields of 3D display, laser modulation, pohotonic crystal fibers, data storage, environment monitoring, and biosensing.
