The motor accelerates a flywheel which at the appropriate energy state is coupled through a mechanism to an anvil acting directly on the nail. The actuation is governed by a control circuit and initiated from a trigger switch. The motor accelerates a flywheel that is then clutched to the output anvil causing the nail to be driven. The position of the output anvil is sensed and once the nail is driven, the motor is dynamically braked reducing the excess energy in the flywheel. This method uses a highly responsive motor and power supply which enables the motor to come up to speed, drive the nail and return to a low energy condition in less than 2 seconds. The electrical control circuit and brake allow precise control and improve safety. The power supply is preferably a rechargeable low impedance battery.

A method for generating and compressing multi-sweep-frequency radar signals is provided, based on the idea of reducing the power density of signals on a time-frequency domain. By using a method of circumferentially shifting and superposing a single sweep-frequency signal, sweep-frequency signals multiplexed simultaneously at time and frequency are generated, and for the generated multi-sweep-frequency signals, the sweep-frequency signals are multiplexed simultaneously at time and frequency in a single pulse time period. The multi-sweep-frequency signals multiplexed at frequency are used to perform matched filtering, and then perform segmented accumulation to obtain distance resolution which is inversely proportional to the bandwidth and the signal-to-noise ratio after the single sweep-frequency signal is compressed under the same energy condition, thereby realizing secondary compression on the multi-sweep-frequency signals. The signals generated by the method have higher spectrum utilization rate and lower interception probability, and guarantee the distance resolution and detection distance of a radar.

The generating method for the multi-frequency-scan radar signals is provided based on the idea that power density of signals on a time frequency domain is reduced as mush as possible. A single frequency scan signal circumferential displacement and stacking method is utilized to generate time frequency simultaneous multiplex frequency scan signals, the multi-frequency-scan signals are generated, and frequency-scan signals are multiplexed simultaneously in time and frequency in one single pulse time period. The multi-frequency-scan signals of frequency multiplexing are utilized to conduct matched filtering, subsection accumulation is then conducted to obtain distance resolution in negative proportion with bandwidth and signal to noise ratio of a single compressed frequency-scan signal under same energy condition, and secondary compression of the multi-frequency-scan signals is achieved. The signals generated by the methods have high spectrum efficiency and low intercepted probability, and distance resolution and detection distance of the radar are guaranteed.
