A flow diverter for diverting an initial flow stream of pressurized fluid from a source of pressurized fluid. The flow diverter comprises a housing having an upstream end, an inlet opening in the upstream end, a downstream end generally opposed to the upstream end, a top plate extending between the upstream end and the downstream end, a bottom plate generally opposed to the top plate and extending between the upstream end and the downstream end, and a pair of generally opposed lateral sides extending between the upstream end, the downstream end, the top plate and the bottom plate. The upstream end is adapted to be attached to the source of pressurized fluid and the inlet opening is adapted to receive the initial flow stream of pressurized fluid from the source of pressurized fluid. The pair of generally opposed lateral sides are adapted to permit the initial flow stream of pressurized fluid to exit the housing in a pair of generally opposed diverted flow streams of pressurized fluid that are substantially perpendicular to the initial flow stream of pressurized fluid. The pair of generally opposed lateral sides are also adapted to permit the measurement of the initial flow stream of pressurized fluid.

The invention discloses a broadband multiple correlation flow velocity measurement method. Echo signals are sampled by adopting a time-interleaved sampling technology so that a discrete sampling sequence is obtained; multiple correlation algorithm processing and cross spectrum autocorrelation algorithm processing are respectively performed on the discrete sampling sequence; the number of multiple correlation points is increased in the process of multiple correlation algorithm processing, and real-time performance of flow velocity measurement is guaranteed by adopting odd and even paths of parallel multiple correlation processing; and cross spectrum interpolation time delay estimation is performed on the time-interleaved sampled data by cross spectrum autocorrelation algorithm processing so that a time delay value is obtained, and the time delay value is adopted to roughly measure the flow velocity value to act as the judgment standard of a flow velocity size interval, assist multiple correlation algorithm flow velocity measurement and correct the range of flow velocity measurement. Advantages are that multiple correlation algorithm processing and cross spectrum autocorrelation algorithm processing are supplementary for each other, sampling rate of the signals is enhanced by adopting the time-interleaved sampling technology, and multiple correlation algorithm flow velocity measurement is assisted through combination of the roughly measured flow velocity value of the cross spectrum autocorrelation algorithm so that measurement precision is high and measurement range is wide.

An inflow pipe is connected to a straight pipe at an angle of less than 90 degrees to the negative direction of a horizontal coordinate axis, and an outflow pipe is connected to the straight pipe at an angle of less than 90 degrees to the positive direction of the horizontal coordinate axis; and a measurement conduit is connected into a fluid conduit which needs to measure the flow, and the two ultrasonic sensors are positioned at two ends of the straight pipe respectively. In the ultrasonic flow meter, the measurement conduit is connected into the fluid conduit, and the ultrasonic sensors are positioned at two ends of the straight pipe of the measurement conduit, so the length of effective path of ultrasonic propagation is increased, the strength of effective signals is promoted, then the purpose of increasing the measurement precision is increased, and the ultrasonic flow meter is particularly suitable for measuring the fluid with small flow and low flow rate.
