The method comprises the steps of establishing a full research and judgment fault handling closed-loop management process which transversely covers all fault types of the power distribution network, covers common faults such as short-circuit faults, phase failure faults, bus voltage loss, ground loss faults and line heavy overload of the power distribution network, is close to a fault handling service of the power distribution network and longitudinally penetrates through the processes of fault sensing, fault analysis, isolation and power conversion, fault emergency repair, power transmission operation, ending and the like in a DMS system; and after the DMS system receives alarminformation of various faults, performing active fault research and judgment sensing after effectively analyzing and identifying fault signals, and comprehensively analyzing out a research and judgment result, thereby facilitating operations such as field search isolation, power transfer and the like. According to the method, full-type decision making, full-information monitoring, full-online management and control and full-process control of the faults of the power distribution network can be realized, the handling efficiency and management and control strength of the faults of the power distribution network are further improved, and the safety, high efficiency and standard management level of operation and fault handling of the power distribution network is comprehensively improved.
