The present invention facilitates the specification and distribution of templated content materials by a content provider over an information exchange network such as the Internet. The present invention incorporates a system for managing inventories of graphical elements and their relationships to pre-defined page templates. A database capable of keeping track of users and their corresponding access privileges within the system is employed to monitor user activity. Ultimately, through the use of a software component delivered over the Internet for use within standard web browsers, end-users are able to populate templates under the constraints imposed by the rules of the manufacturers at the time of template design. These population elements which “fill in the blanks” of the pre-defined templates may be either of type IMAGE or TEXT. Image regions are populated by choosing from a subset of the entire image inventory, while TEXT types can be completely free form, with specific rules guiding justification, point size, font, and leading, or “fill in the blank” form with the same constraint rules as free form. Once the end user has met all of the criteria for a fully populated template, the system provides sophisticated means for downloading a high resolution file (such as a print-ready file or other file representation of the composed publication) which encapsulates all resources needed (layout, images, fonts, and constraint geometries) to fulfill the requirements of the publication. The downloaded file may be printed or published by electronic transfer, e.g., to a publisher for printing of the actual publication.

Method for controlling the encoder output bit rate in a block-based video encoder, and corresponding video encoder apparatus

Constant-bitrate rate control is very useful for real-time video transmission. However, it is difficult to realize a good CBR rate control in an MPEG4-AVC video codec. According to the invention, an adapted ρ-domain rate control processing for real-time rate control is applied, whereby ρ is the percentage of zero amplitude transform coefficients following quantisation. A couple of tables are used for mapping between the quantization parameters and ρ. A detailed analysis at transform-level is carried out in order to get the slope of the relationship between the bitrate and ρ. The slope of the linear model is constrained by a look-ahead procedure with respect to the neighbour frames or blocks.

Date Apr. 1, 1999A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines is proposed in which a fuel injection valve is controlled by the pressure in a pressure chamber, which acts on a pressure shoulder in its opening and closing direction. The pressure supply to the a pressure chamber is controlled by a control valve member which in turn is moved by a pressure in a working chamber. The pressure in the working chamber is controlled by a pre-control valve which has a closing body which, through the influence of the piezoelectric drive mechanism, is moved from a second valve seat to a first valve seat and thereby momentarily opens a relief line of the working chamber. This movement results in an opening of the control valve member and a supplying of high fuel pressure to the pressure chamber for purposes of injection. Thus a very small pre-injection quantity is produced. In order to produce a main injection quantity, the closing body is positioned in an intermediate position between the valve seats and a longer connection of the high-pressure fuel supply to the pressure chamber is consequently produced.

A needle-free transdermal transport device includes a chamber (900) for holding the substance to be injected, a nozzle (910) in fluid communication with the chamber, and a drug reservoir (950) for storing the substance to he transferred to the chamber. The needle-free transdermal transport device also includes a controllable magnet and coil electromagnetic actuator (242) in communication with the chamber. The actuator receives an electrical input and generates in response a force. The force then causes a needle-free transfer of the substance from the chamber to the biological body. The force is variable responsive to variations in the received input during actuation. The actuator draws the substance from the drug reservoir or alternatively, the substance can be pressurized from the drug reservoir into the chamber by a pressure source.

Vibration control device, stage device and exposure apparatus

In order to remove vibration or improve a vibration control effect, and achieve device size reduction, an adjusting device is provided in which a weight of a support target object is supported by a pressure of an internal gas of a first chamber gas via a holding member and which adjusts a position in a gravity direction of the holding member by driving a movable member which changes an internal volume of the first gas chamber by changing an internal volume of a second gas chamber based on a state change of at least one of first and second gas chambers. Because of this, when the holding member is displaced in the gravity direction because of the vibration or the like, as the movable member is driven by the adjusting device, the holding member is maintained at an original position. Additionally, the movable member does not contact the support target object, so it does not directly deform the support target object, and the support target object is only driven by the change of the internal volume of the gas chambers; thus, even if the rigidity of the gas within the first gas chamber is high, there will be no problem regarding transmission of vibrations.

A rotor (12) is mounted in a stator (14) with radial magnetic bearings (16, 19) and with an axial magnetic bearing (40) in a contactless manner. The axial magnetic bearing (40) produces an axial magnetic field with a magnet coil (40) and a yoke iron (44) mounted on the stator (14). An axially magnetized permanent magnet (50) is provided on the rotor (12), located approxaimately axially opposite the yoke iron (44). A permanently axially magnetized compensating magnet (54) is provided on the stator (14) and arranged axially opposite the permanent magnet of the rotor (50) and polarized in the opposite direction, such that the permanent magnet (50) of the rotor and the compensating magnet (54) repel each other. In a center position, the rotor is bias-free by compensating the forces of attraction between the permanent magnet of the rotor and the yoke iron. As a result, the center position of the rotor can be adjusted with relatively small magnet coil flows. This results in small magnet coils, produces less heat and reduces the required power of the axial bearing.

The feed-through device has a socket contact (54) for interconnecting a pin (52) attached to a flanged (51) for separating different environments. The other pin (53) making a pair with the pin (52) and the socket contact (54) together construct a connecting block, and the socket contact (54) has an elastic member (61). The pin (53) is connected with the TDI sensor (64), in which a pixel array has been adaptively configured based on the optical characteristic of an image projecting optical system. That sensor has a number of integration stages that can reduce the field of view of the image projecting optical system. Further, the number of integration stage may be determined such that the data rate of the TDI sensor would not be reduced but the number of pins would not be increased as much as possible. Preferably, the number of line count may be almost equal to the number of integration stages.

An autonomous driving system mounted on a vehicle determines a target path based on necessary information and performs vehicle travel control such that the vehicle follows the target path. A first coordinate system is a vehicle coordinate system at a first timing when the necessary information is acquired. A second coordinate system is a vehicle coordinate system at a second timing later than the first timing. The autonomous driving system calculates, based on the necessary information acquired at the first timing, a first target path defined in the first coordinate system. Then, the autonomous driving system corrects the first target path to a second target path defined in the second coordinate system by performing coordinate transformation from the first coordinate system to the second coordinate system. The autonomous driving system uses the second target path as the target path to perform the vehicle travel control.

The present invention relates to a crystal oscillator circuit in which the output level is maintained to prevent changes in oscillation frequency due to variations in power voltage. This crystal oscillator circuit comprises a resonance circuit formed of a crystal oscillator (which acts as an inductor component) and dividing capacitors, an oscillation amplifier formed of ECL circuitry driven by a power voltage connected to the resonance circuit, and a pull-down resistor between an output terminal of the ECL circuit and ground. The present invention also relates to a frequency-switching oscillator having a simple circuit design and a small number of components. This frequency-switching oscillator enables a configuration in which an oscillation amplifier that is a two input, two output type of ECL circuit having mutually inverted signals is connected to a resonance circuit formed of a crystal oscillator and dividing capacitors; a first resonance circuit provided with a first electronic switch is connected between one pair of input-output terminals for mutually inverted signals of the ECL circuit; a second resonance circuit is connected between another pair of input-output terminals for mutually inverted signals of the ECL circuit; and the resonance frequencies of the first and second resonance circuits are different and also the first and second electronic switches are switched to select one of the resonance circuits.
