The invention discloses a
drug for treating
chronic pharyngitis. The
drug is prepared from, by weight, 6 g of dried orange peel, 10 g of rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae, 10 g of liquorice root, 12g of rhizoma chuanxiong and 15 g of
radix ophiopogonis. A manufacturing method comprises the steps that water is added before decoction until the materials are submerged for the depth of two fingers,the materials are decocted with
slow fire for 30 min or so, 200 ml of
medicine liquid is taken, decoction is conducted for the second time by means of the same method, 300 ml of
medicine liquid is taken, and two times of
medicine liquid are mixed and taken twice after a
meal. Dried orange peel is bitter and pungent in taste and warm in nature, regulates qi-flowing for strengthening the
spleen, eliminates dampness and
phlegm, and is used for treating
tumescence of the chest and the gastral cavity and cough with excessive
phlegm; rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae is bitter and sweet in taste and warm in nature, acts on the
spleen and the
stomach channel and is used for treating deficiency of the
spleen,
reduced appetite, abdominal distention and
diarrhea,
phlegm and retained fluid, dizziness and palpitation; liquorice root is decocted into jugeng decoction for treating pulmonary
abscess, and coughing with fishy and purulent
sputum which are caused by heat
toxin, and decocted into licorice and ginger decoction for treating coughing with
saliva; rhizoma chuanxiong is warm in nature, acts on the liver,
gallbladder and heart channels, is fragrant and aromatic, and has the functions of invigorating the
blood circulation and promoting qi;
radix ophiopogonis is sweet and slightly bitter in taste and slightly cold in nature, and acts on the heart,
lung and
stomach channels. All medicinal materials are compatible to one another, the heat can be dissipated, the exterior syndromes can be relieved, the functions of relieving internal heat or fever, removing stasis, reliving pain and removing
inflammation can be well achieved, and
chronic pharyngitis can be radically treated.
