Glucose control using dual-hormone model predictive control (MPC) with pramlintide compartments

Systems and methods are disclosed for managing a person's blood glucose concentration within a predetermined range by co-administration of insulin and pramlintide using an automated insulin delivery system. A model predictive control (MPC) algorithm that includes a glucoregulatory control model augmented with a compartment model of pramlintide pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics is utilized. In some embodiments, the person may announce in advance meals to be consumed and the pramlintide-aware MPC algorithm uses this data as input to the glucoregulatory control model. In other embodiments, an automatic meal detection and size estimation algorithm is incorporated into the system to relieve the person of the burden of meal entry and carbohydrate estimation.

Automatic insulin needle taking and unloading device

The utility model discloses an automatic insulin needle taking and unloading device, and relates to the technical field of medical instruments. The expansion groove is formed in the inner wall of the lower part of the shell; the extrusion groove is formed in the inner wall of the upper part of the shell; the elastic inner cylinder is in threaded connection with the interior of the shell, and an expansion joint is formed in the upper portion of the elastic inner cylinder; the rubber pads are symmetrically and fixedly connected to the inner ring face of the upper portion of the elastic inner cylinder, the number of the rubber pads is not less than two, and the purpose of automatically collecting insulin needles is achieved by enabling the needles spirally detached from an insulin pen to fall to the bottommost portion of the elastic inner cylinder. The tedious steps of manually detaching the needle from the insulin pen in the prior art and rotationally screwing off the needle and discarding the needle into an appointed garbage can in the prior art are avoided, and the effects of continuously injecting insulin into different patients and quickly taking down and collecting the needle are achieved.

Leak detection method, device and medium for insulin

The present disclosure describes a method, device and medium for detecting insulin leakage, which comprises: after a patient injects insulin, using an adsorption material to adsorb the insulin leakage at a target position related to the amount of insulin leakage, and collecting an image of the adsorption material with the adsorbed insulin leakage to obtain a leakage image; performing contrast enhancement on the leakage image to obtain an enhanced image; performing binary classification based on the pixels in the enhanced image to obtain two categories of pixels; selecting target category pixels from the two categories of pixels based on a first gray interval before the adsorption material adsorbs insulin and a second gray interval after the adsorption material adsorbs insulin; performing convex hull fitting on the region corresponding to the target category pixels to determine a leakage region; determining a leakage area based on the resolution of the leakage image and the leakage region; and determining the amount of insulin leakage corresponding to the leakage area based on the adsorption capacity and the leakage area. Thus, the amount of insulin leakage can be effectively, conveniently and non-invasively obtained.

Analysis method and system for blood glucose fluctuation caused by insulin leakage of nc membrane adsorption

The present disclosure describes an analysis method and system for blood glucose fluctuation caused by insulin leakage adsorbed by an NC membrane, the method comprising collecting a leakage image, adsorbing leakage at a target position by a nitrocellulose membrane after a patient injects insulin, and taking a picture of the nitrocellulose membrane after adsorption of the leakage and a reference object to obtain a leakage image; analyzing the leakage image to determine a leakage area in the leakage image; determining a leakage area based on a resolution of the leakage image, the leakage area, and a reference object pattern; determining a leakage volume corresponding to the leakage area based on an adsorption capacity of the nitrocellulose membrane and the leakage area; and determining an impact of the leakage volume on blood glucose fluctuation of the patient based on an injection dose, the leakage volume, a first blood glucose level and a second blood glucose level of the patient, the first blood glucose level and the second blood glucose level being blood glucose indicators before and after the patient injects insulin, respectively. Thus, the leakage volume can be effectively, conveniently and non-invasively obtained to analyze the impact of the leakage volume on blood glucose fluctuation.
