59 results about "Parasitic plant" patented technology

A parasitic plant is a plant that derives some or all of its nutritional requirement from another living plant. They make up about 1% of angiosperms and are in almost every biome in the world. All parasitic plants have modified roots, called haustoria, which penetrate the host plants, connecting them to the conductive system – either the xylem, the phloem, or both. For example, plants like Striga or Rhinanthus connect only to the xylem, via xylem bridges (xylem-feeding). Alternately, plants like Cuscuta and Orobanche connect only to the phloem of the host (phloem-feeding). This provides them with the ability to extract water and nutrients from the host. Parasitic plants are classified depending on where the parasitic plant latches onto the host and the amount of nutrients it requires. Some parasitic plants are able to locate their host plants by detecting chemicals in the air or soil given off by host shoots or roots, respectively. About 4,500 species of parasitic plant in approximately 20 families of flowering plants are known.

Tobacco mosaic virus gene fragment for efficiently producing siRNA, attenuated vaccine, preparation method and application thereof

The invention relates to the field of plant antiviral genetic engineering, and discloses a tobacco mosaic virus gene fragment for efficiently producing siRNA, an attenuated vaccine, a preparation method and application thereof. The tobacco mosaic virus gene fragment that efficiently produces siRNA includes at least one of a TMV1 fragment, a TMV2 fragment and a TMV3 fragment. The nucleotide sequences of the TMV1 fragment, the TMV2 fragment and the TMV3 fragment are shown as Seq ID No. 13, Seq ID No. 14 and Seq ID No. 15, respectively. The gene fragment can produce siRNA efficiently after beinginoculated with parasitic plants. The attenuated vaccine is based on the attenuated mutant of TVBMV. The attenuated mutant of TVBMV is embedded with an effective gene fragment that can induce cross protection against tobacco mosaic virus. The effective gene fragment comprises the tobacco mosaic virus gene fragment capable of producing siRNA. The attenuated vaccine against tobacco mosaic virus hasstable effects, can play an effective cross-protection role, significantly reduces the damage of plants infected with tobacco mosaic virus virulent strains, delays the onset of plants, and greatly reduces losses.

Propagation method of thesium chinense seeds

The invention provides a propagation method for obtaining of thesium chinense seeds through out-of-season planting of thesium chinense, which comprises the following steps: providing a planting area: arranging a greenhouse in an area with annual sunshine duration greater than or equal to 2400 h; sowing treatment: when the temperature in the greenhouse is 19-21 DEG C for multiple continuous days, covering the turned soil with a mixture containing shell-broken thesium chinense seeds, parasitic plant seeds and dry sand, applying a water-retaining agent, covering a seedling culture substrate, building a plastic arched shed, and covering the plastic arched shed with a sunshade net; after full seedlings emerge, removing the plastic arched shed and opening the sunshade net; growth control: keeping the temperature in the greenhouse at 15-25 DEG C, and in the yellow seedling stage and when thesium chinense seedlings are higher than 10 cm, performing intertilling and weeding, removing partial leaves of parasitic plants, watering and applying water flush fertilizer; removing flowering branches and part of leaves of the parasitic plants when the parasitic plants are in the stem extraction period and the thesium chinense is in the branching period, watering again and applying the water flush fertilizer; and finally, collecting naturally fallen mature fruits in a flower and fruit period to obtain the thesium chinense seeds.

The invention discloses a parasitism grafting method of rosa liana and rosaceae fruit trees. The method comprises the steps that robust rosaceae fruit trees without diseases or pests are used as hostplants, and full rosa liana seeds without diseases or pests are selected as parasitoidism plant seeds; the adopted seeds are sterilized and then used and can also be soaked for germination accelerating; an electric drill is used for punching, the standard is achieved that a hole deeply reaches the lignin and the trees are not punched completely, the hole is kept invariant, the area of the internalhole is large, and saw dust is removed; then, a mixed medium is placed, and rose seeds are wrapped by the mixed medium; then, a strapping tape is used for strapping, the matrix is not exposed, and the position of the hole is pricked by a needle; after seed germination, proper fixing is conducted until parasitism plant seeds grow to the size equal to the tree hole of a host, the skin layers of theparasitism plants and the host are slightly scraped and strapped in time, and the two kinds of plants can grow together. According to the method, nursery stocks of flower and fruit trees in an unusual shape can be cultivated, the pleasure is added to the life of people, and the trees have high ornamental value.

Method for preventing and controlling aleurocanthus spiniferus

The invention discloses a method for preventing and controlling aleurocanthus spiniferus. The method comprises the steps of establishing an ecological tea garden, pruning branches and cleaning the teagarden, combining preventing and controlling of pests such as coccids, aphids, red spiders and the like before germination in early spring, performing drainage well, increasing application of organicfertilizers, digging out aleurocanthus spiniferus parasitic plants at the periphery of the tea garden, preventing and controlling larvas, conducting physical preventing and controlling, conducting reasonable picking, conducting medical preventing and controlling and closing the garden in winter. According to the method for preventing and controlling the aleurocanthus spiniferus, by improving ecological conditions of the tea garden, ecological diversity of the tea garden is increased, by pruning the branches and cleaning the tea garden, the tea garden maintains good ventilation and light transmission, by cultivating robust tree vigor, pest and disease resistance of trees are improved, and by conducting biological preventing and controlling, physical preventing and controlling and pesticidepreventing and controlling, the number of the leurocanthus spiniferus and damage caused by the leurocanthus spiniferus are reduced, so that preventing and controlling are achieved, and yields and profits are increased.
