The invention relates to a process for processing an industrial waste residue of the ferroalloy industry. The process comprises the following steps: a) adding the waste residue at the molten state into a tempering electric furnace, detecting the contents of various oxides in the waste residue, adding a silicon powder when the coefficient of acidity is less than 1.6, then temporarily raising the temperature to 1500 DEG C, wherein the coefficient of acidity is the contents of acidic oxides/basic oxides, mainly referring to the contents of silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide/ and the contents of calcium oxide and magnesium oxide; b) adding into a thermal electric furnace; c) flowing out from the thermal electric furnace to a centrifugal machine, producing an inorganic fiber; d) entering a plate (strip) production line, sequentially forming a vertical fiber through a pendulum bob, crimping, pressing, and solidifying to prepare a rock wool plate product. The waste reside does not need to stand and cool to waste the energy, the original heat of the waste residue is fully utilized, the use of the energy is reduced, the waste residue at the molten state is fully utilized and processed into a mineral wool product, the land is not occupied, and the economic benefit is good.
