The invention discloses a potato base seedling overwintering greenhouse and a method for utilizing the greenhouse to enable potato base seedlings to overwinter. The overwintering greenhouse is formed by a protecting greenhouse, an outer overwintering greenhouse and an inner overwintering greenhouse which are covered from outside to inside. Soil heating lines are laid on the ground of the outer overwintering greenhouse and the ground of the inner overwintering greenhouse respectively. The overwintering method comprises (1) selecting potato plants which are excellent in varieties and good in growth vigor in potato fields before first frost in winter, cutting off robust vines at the top ends of the selected potato plants, planting the vines in seedling culture cups, and forming base seedlings; (2) transferring the base seedlings to the outer overwintering greenhouse and the inner overwintering greenhouse of the overwintering greenhouse since the middle ten days of November, controlling lowest temperatures in the outer overwintering greenhouse and the inner overwintering greenhouse well in a staging mode, and spraying an antifreezing agent; and (3) planting the robust base seedlings in the overwintering greenhouse together with culture soil in the seedling culture cups into an ordinary greenhouse since the first ten-day period of February next year, and performing plantation; and planting the base seedlings in the overwintering greenhouse together with the culture soil in the seedling culture cups into fields, and performing open plantation.
