Automated card information exchange pursuant to a commercial transaction

In general, embodiments of the present invention relate to a card and associated methods for automated information (static and dynamic) exchange pursuant to a commercial transaction. In a typical embodiment, the card (e.g., a credit card, a debit card and / or a smart card) comprises an energy component for providing power to the card and a back display (e.g., positioned on the back or magnetic strip side of the card) for displaying card information being used in the commercial transaction. Upon display, a terminal (e.g., a point of sale terminal) will scan / read the card information and generate a corresponding source validation code (SVC). An imager positioned on the back of the card will scan / read the SVC and card validation code (CVC) logic on the card will generate a CVC based on the SVC (e.g., based on a validation result of the SVC). A biometric reader positioned on a front side of the card will take a biometric reading from a user of the card and corresponding user validation code (UVC) logic will generate a UVC based on the biometric reading. The underlying commercial transaction can then be validated (e.g., by a server associated with the terminal or by validation logic on the card itself), a validation result can be displayed on a front display (e.g., positioned on the front side of the card).

The invention discloses a double-bus energy grid-connected topological structure and a grid-connected control method thereof. The grid-connected topological structure comprises a platform bus energy component, a load bus energy component and a grid-connected control unit. The grid-connected control unit is respectively connected with the platform bus energy component and the load bus energy component through a platform bus and a load bus. The platform bus energy component is used for adopting a direct energy transmission system for power regulation and supplying power to platform equipment. The load bus energy component is used for adopting a solar array maximum power tracking mechanism to realize the maximization of the power supply energy of the load bus energy component. The load bus energy component is also used for supplying power to load equipment high in power output. The grid-connected control unit is used for adopting a power MOS tube-based impedance pulse width adjusting system to realize the energy adjustment and the mutual allocation between the platform bus energy component and the load bus energy component. According to the invention, the problem that the short-time and high-power type power supply stability for loads in a micro-nano satellite single-bus power supply system is poor in the prior art can be solved.

Reflector lamp or illumination system

A reflector lamp or illumination system comprising a concave reflector having a parabolic or ellipsoidal front section with the focal point being a ring of points that extends horizontally outwardly from the reflector system focal point by a distance of not less than one, and no more than three, times the width of the light source used, a spherical rear section with it's focal point substantially the same focal point as the reflector system, and a finite light source located at the focal point of said reflector system. The reflector sections are dimensioned so that light rays from the finite light source and those which are reflected by the spherical rear section are reflected and re-reflected by the front section with less divergent beam angles and distributed more evenly into the desired projected beam pattern with more of said rays being projected into the desired beam path. Additionally the light rays, re-reflected by the front section, consist of uncompressed light and energy components which provide a beam pattern which is substantially more even in light and energy distribution, does not have compressed light and energy producing hot spots of light and heat at the center of the projected beam pattern or gate, and is therefore less harmful to parts such as lighting fixture parts, plastic lens and items being projected such as plastic color media, film, and slides. Alternately the front reflector section surface has radial convex curved facets to produce a smoother beam field. Additionally the rear reflector section can consist of multiple spherical sections with slightly different focal points to produce a smoother beam field and project more of the light radiated from the light source.

Double Break Disconnect/Contact System

The present invention relates generally to a mechanism of a contact system for circuit breakers. More particularly, the invention encompasses a mechanism for a rotary double-break contact system, which enables a direct transfer of torque from stored energy components, such as, springs, to the contact arm in the ON-position (contacts closed) without using intermediate cam surface. The mechanism described in the invention also ensures reliable locking of the contact arm in the blow-off position using stationary means that are integral with or fixed to a crossbar module. This invention enables to achieve significant reduction or even to eliminate friction at certain critical interfaces between the contact mechanism components, thus, reducing or potentially eliminating hysteresis, and improving performance consistency, and also eliminating mechanism performance dependency on wear level and condition of an intermediate cam surface. An additional feature of this invention is a reduction of a loss of contact torque/force during over-travel in the ON position when the fixed and/or moveable contacts erode. Configurations described in this invention may also feature physical protection for the moving components of the contact mechanism assembly from flying particles resulting from short circuit shots.
