curcuma zedoaria, which comprises the following steps: land selection and preparation, seed
curcuma preparation,
sowing, field management, harvesting and prevention and cure of
plant diseases and
insect pests. The technology of the invention is characterized in that: the rotation land or clay with
neutral PH or micro acid in which
curcuma zedoaria is not planted in the previous year is selected; prior to
sowing, the rootstalk with two or three heads which has a
diameter of more than 20mm and a length of more than 50mm, or a big curcuma which has the
diameter of more than 15mm and the length of more than 70mm is selected as the seed curcuma, and the seed curcuma is sowed from May 20 to May 30 in a normal year; the planting density is 2700-3300 plants per mu with the row spacing of 0.45-0.50m; during
sowing, fossias are dug in field, sowing is carried out according to the planting spacing of 0.45-0.50m. The bottom
fertilizer is applied in the space between seed curcumas, and covering soil is carried out. The technology can improve the yield of the medicinal materials of zedoary root and radix curcume longae produced by
curcuma zedoaria by 15%-20%, increase the content of curcuminoids, the content of
germacrone, the content of
naphtha by 15%-20%, 16%-20% and 10%-15% respectively, and increase the economic benefit by 15%-20%.
