An automatic lights-out protecting 
system for an automobile comprises an automobile light state sensing circuit, an igniting switch 
signal circuit and an automatic lights-out 
control circuit, whereinthe automobile light state sensing circuit comprises a double-
voltage comparator U1A, an adjustable 
resistor R1, and a light-sensitive 
diode L1 which is mounted at an automobile light; the igniting switch 
signal circuit comprises a 
nor gate U2A and a 
triode Q1; and the automatic lights-out 
control circuit comprises a 
relay K1 and a 
relay K2. According to the 
system, the automobile light state is monitored through the light-sensitive 
diode, an igniting switch 
signal is provided, and thus the connection of the 
triode can be controlled through a gate circuit; the automobile light is controlled and automatically turned off through the relays, and a simple 
logic control circuit formed through an 
electrical element can be adopted to achieve the purpose, and thus the problem that a driver forgetsto turn off the automobile light after 
flameout of the automobile and the 
electricity of a storage battery is completely consumed can be avoided; the 
system is simple in structure, good in effect, stable in performance, and low in cost; in addition, the igniting switch signal and a sensing signal of the light-sensitive 
diode realize 
interlocking, so that the normal use of the light of the automobile in normal running is not influenced.
