The invention relates to a carbon nano-tube cement-based waterproof material and a preparation method thereof. The waterproof material comprises powder portion and water portion, the water portion consists of components including, by mass, from 0.01 to 0.03 part of carbon nano-tubes, from 0.8 to 1.2 parts of water and from 0.1 to 0.3 part of dispersing agent, and the powder portion consists of components including, by mass, from 6 to 9 parts of cement, from 12 to 14 parts of fine siliceous sand, from 0.6 to 1 part of industrial waste residues, from 0.8 to 2 parts of superfine siliceous mineral additive, from 1.5 to 3.5 parts of silicon-aluminum mineral additive, from 0.1 to 0.4 part of high-efficiency water releasing additive and from 0.1 to 0.3 part of super plasticizer. A preparation process includes mixing the components of the water portion at first; then adding the components of the powder portion into the water portion; and obtaining the carbon nano-tube cement-based waterproof material by means of mixing the water portion with the powder portion. The carbon nano-tube cement-based waterproof material is fine in waterproof effect, durable in waterproofing and fine in durability, has repeated self-healing repair capacity, can strengthen a coating of the surface of a building, avoids cracks and is an environment-friendly waterproof material.
