The present invention provides improved devices, systems and methods for producing dental molds, each having portions representing a patient's oral soft tissue and a desired tooth configuration. These molds are designed for use in the fabrication of appliances used in orthodontic treatment, particularly, elastic repositioning appliances. However, they may also be used in the fabrication of traditional appliances, such as retainers and positioners, used, for example in the final or finishing stages of an otherwise conventional treatment. The dental molds are comprised of a mold or relief of the patient's soft tissue, such as a palate, facial gingival tissue and/or lingual gingival tissue, and a separate or separable mold or relief of the patient's dental arch having teeth in a desired tooth configuration. Since, the tooth configuration will change as a patient progresses through orthodontic treatment, the relief of the dental arch will be fabricated separately from the relief of the oral soft tissue. Typically, the dental arch relief will be fabricated using rapid prototyping methods. The soft tissue relief may also be fabricated using rapid prototyping, however it may also be fabricated using traditional mold making methods, i.e., casting with plaster or other mold making materials. In either case, the resulting dental mold with be comprised of a “split-mold” having fixedly or removably joined arch and soft tissue reliefs.

The bionic examination robot can evaluate the physical properties of food scientifically, accurately and objectively, and the examination method can take the place of traditional food evaluation methods in which identification of a texture analyzer and sensuous identification are combined, thereby not only reducing examination cost and enhancing examination efficiency, but also enhancing examination accuracy, thus a scientific theoretical basis is provided for the processing and the development of food.

The present invention provides an implant for stabilizing the tongue, including: a first anchoring portion for securing a first end of the implant with the mandibula; a control portion connected with the anchoring portion, configured for selectively activating the implant; a flexible portion connected at its proximal end with the control portion, the flexible portion having three-dimensional flexibility in a non-energized state and the flexible portion having a lesser three-dimensional flexibility in a energized state, the flexible portion being selectively switchable between the non-energized and energized states by the control portion, wherein the flexible portion can be an electroactive polymer element having: a composite layer having a polymer substrate and a biocompatible conductive material, wherein the composite layer also can be opposing surfaces; and a conductive polymer layer disposed on at least one of the opposing surfaces of the composite layer; and a second anchoring portion connected with the flexible portion, the second anchoring portion being configured for connecting the implant with the base of the tongue. Some embodiments include a housing designed to conform to the shape of the palate. Some embodiments include an attachment element to secure the device to tissue. Methods of treating airway disorders such as sleep apnea and snoring with the airway implant device are disclosed herein.

A digitalized designing and manufacturing method of the shape appliance of a cleft palate alveolar bone independent of the experience and handwork of a doctor is provided.

The invention discloses a method for welding side wall plates of a train lorry, including the steps: (a) the side wall plates are stretched along the direction of the welding edges of the side wall plates so as to cause the side wall plates to be elastically deformed; and (b) a plurality of elastically deformed side wall plates in the step (a) are respectively paired to be welded, and the drawing force causing the side wall plates to be elastically deformed is maintained during welding. The method has the technical scheme that before the side wall palates are welded, certain. stretching stress is applied to both ends of each side wall plate along the direction of one welding edge so as to elastically deform each side wall plate to a certain degree. When the side wall plates are elastically deformed, pull stress is generated in each side wall plate; in the process of welding, crystal grains are heated to be expanded and are mutually extruded; and the existence of the pull stress counteracts the thermal expansion pressure stress among the crystal grains, thus the plastic deformation of the crystal grains can be eliminated or lessened, thereby preventing a welding seam from being retracted, and effectively reducing the planeness of the side wall plate.
