The PAG quenching agent used in the invention has the advantages of unique inverse solubility, adjustable concentration, good thermal stability, no deterioration after long-term use, long effective life, no toxicity, no smoke, no flame, health, environmental protection, low comprehensive cost and the like, and the cooling speed of the PAG quenching medium can be realized by adjusting solution concentration, quenching temperature and stirring. The PAG quenching agent is relatively low in oxidative degradability and aging rate, good in hydrolytic stability and relatively high in process adaptability, the optimal concentration and the quenching cooling process of the PAG quenching agent used in the quenching and tempering process of the wind power main shaft of 20 t or above are found through the mode of using the PAG quenching agent and adjusting the concentration and the flow speed of quenching liquid, and the PAG quenching agent has the advantages of being low in energy consumption, low in cost and the like. Therefore, the problems of environmental pollution, high energy consumption and the like caused by a traditional quenching process are avoided.
