The invention relates to a method for making ice and salt and desalinating sea water with natural resources. The method is characterized in that a freezing pond, a solarization pond and a
crystallization pond are built in sequence on a sloping beach;
buoyancy gates arranged on a dam; in case of rising tide, the gates float up automatically so that sea water rushes into the freezing pond and the solarization pond; when the
water level rises continuously, the gate on one side falls down automatically so that the sea water is entrapped in the freezing pond; after the sea water flows out of the solarization pond, the gates fall down to close the solarization pond; when the
air temperature is below 0 DEG C, the sea water in the freezing pond is frozen; when the
air temperature is higher than 0 DEG C, a drainage passage is opened so that the non-frozen sea water flows into the solarization pond; ice is frozen and thawed repeatedly due to the change of the
air temperature, brine in the ice is discharged into the solarization pond, and finally the ice is thawed into
fresh water; the sea water in the solarization pond is evaporated under the actions of the sun and the wind; and when the
salinity reaches 20 degrees, the sea water flows into the
crystallization pond to be used as material to make salt. The method can substantially utilize the
natural energy resources to achieve the purposes of opening the gates to introduce sea water, draining, making ice, desalinating sea water and making salt.
