The method comprises the following steps: (1) onsite monitoring, collecting and detecting a contaminated tidal river reach sediment sample; (2) taking a quantitative amount of an oxidant, preparing a sediment modifier, and uniformly sprinkling the sediment modifier on an ebbed exposed riverbed after tide ebbingin order to form a first covering layer; (3) collecting and detecting a water sample at the contaminated tidal river reach mud cake; (4) taking a quantitative amount of an algicide, preparing a powderfrom the algicide, and uniformly sprinkling the powder on an exposed riverbed to form a second covering layer; and (5) mutually cooperating the first covering layer with the second covering layer toachieve continuous proceeding of surface oxidation and alga killing effects of sediment, ,digest original sediment skin cakes and continuously prevent the surface of the sediment from forming cakes.
