The invention relates to a method for analyzing and identifying nationality of imported iron ore by utilizing an isotopic tracer method. The method comprises the following steps: 1, weighing a sample, dissolving the sample by adopting a hydrochloric acid sample dissolving method, and preparing an analysis solution; 2, introducing the prepared solution into an inductively coupled plasma source mass spectrometer for measuring a set isotope ratio, and storing the data into an isotopic tracer database, wherein the set to-be-measured isotopes comprise Mg24, Si28, Ca42, Cr52, Cu63, Zn64, Mo95 and Pb206; and 3, comparing the isotope ratio data with isotopes of import nationality iron ore, and if the isotope ratio data completely accords with isotopes of import nationality iron ore, the production place of the sample can be determined. By utilizing the identification method, iron ore in the production places such as Australia, Brazil and India can be judged, and the method provides a method combining an applied mathematics method and a large analytical instrument, so that the operating requirements of identifying the country of origin of the iron ore products by inspection and quarantine and customs are guaranteed.
