The invention relates to a railway signal system adopting a centerless communication mode, which comprises a signal processing device (1), an identification mark (2) and a control center (3), wherein the signal processing device (1) is arranged on a train, and the identification mark (2) is arranged on a rail along the railway line. The signal processing device (1) finds out the current position of the train by reading the identification mark (2) and sends out running information, such as the current position, the speed and the like of the train on the rail; and the signal processing device (1) receives the running information sent from other trains, receives the running instruction sent from the control center (3) and simulates collision of all trains on the current position according to the received running information and the received running instruction. When the probability of occurrence of a collision accident is detected, warning information is sent to a train driver and other adjacent trains to enable the driver of each train to pay attention to the condition and adopt proper action to avoid the collision accident.
